Okay, let's defend Harbaugh because you wanna pick at me.
Do you really think there's gonna be documented evidence that Harbaugh is manufacturing recruiting "wins" to increase excitement around his program? How closely do you follow recruiting? How closely did you follow the recruitment of Rashan Gary and DPJ?
Harbaugh hired a high school coach from Rashan Gary's school on his staff at Michigan to help get Gary to Ann Arbor. Gary committing to Michigan was considered a lock by basically every major recruiting analyst in the country, but about a week before his announcement, there was a lot of buzz being reported by trusted sources of these analysts that Gary was going to Clemson instead. It turned out not to be true, and the recruiting analysts suspected that either Gary was intentionally misleading people to add drama to his announcement, or that Harbaugh and his staff had orchestrated it. Same exact thing happened with DPJ this past week.
Michigan's coaching staff was tweeting out cryptic messages about Najee Harris (who may flip from Bama to UM), DPJ, and Isaiah Wilson this week. It turned out that Wilson really did pick UGA after being rumored to favor Michigan for almost two years. He was getting a lot of pressure from his high school coaches and family to go to UGA for some reason, even though he's from New York, I believe.
Basically, most of the major sources in national recruiting think that Harbaugh and his staff are manufacturing drama to favor them. Is it proven? Of course it isn't 100% certain. Harbaugh is way smarter than to be blatantly obvious about. It was my opinion that the same thing might happen with Wilson (which is why I said "possibly" in my original post), but thankfully it didn't. My bad for being wrong this time. Harbaugh is going around accusing other coaches of lying to recruits, but it seems like he's doing just as much shady stuff as any coach in the country. However, I won't speculate about it anymore on here since I don't have concrete sources. I forgot that Ohio Chatter was a major journalistic hub, and not just a message board.
