What do you need?
1. How is profit generated?
who controls that generated income?
2. How is the profit % broken down? Who get what percentage of the profits?
3. How is the App idea protected from duplication? If at all?
4. Is the development of the App and outright price or can it be part of the potential profit agreement?
5. Without giving away the idea how do you know it’s not App developed already? If you do a search your idea is now broadcasted on the internet to be captured.

Trust me your app idea is probably straight dog shit and worth exactly $0 right now. Ideas are easy, execution is where the money is.

For being such an alleged accomplished businessman, it's rather embarrassing to ask a few of these questions particularly question #1; and #5 is paranoia at best, stupid at worst.

I don't think question #1 was a bad question. I have no idea how people make money from apps.

There's a lot of different business models; no different than any other company/project.

Some of the major ones include:
1) Charge a one-time to buy the app
2) Subscription to the App(yearly, monthly etc.)
3) Free App; has ads
4) Free App; has in app purchases
5) Free App; has a basic free version and a paid premium version

Random question, are you familiar with Duolingo? Amazing language learning app that is 100% free. No ads, or in app purchases. How would something like that generate revenue? They also have a web edition where you can do the exact same thing as the app. Also not ads.

I know the app. They make money by selling credential certificates for language, duolingo branded clothing, etc. I'm sure they earn additional revenue through grants from DoE.

I have a friend that works for a Facebook game company. They make money by selling extra lives and items to be used in the game. Only 2% of their players purchase anything but they make enough money to support everything else. (The company has a 4 story building and at least 100 employees) That blows my mind that 2% of the players support the rest.

You are paranoid. I would bet $1.5M that someone with more technical prowess in their fingernail than you have in your entire body has already thought of your idea and chose not to execute for some reason. Ideas are nothing; execution is key.

Remember, the world didn't need a social media site because we already had Myspace. Then Facebook came along; how'd that work out for Myspace?

Couldn't someone have given this exact same advice to Zuckerberg before he started Facebook?

Belly idea is probably "find my gun" with text messages alerting you when your ammo is low.

Maybe it places an online order for you so new ammo arrives just as you run out. That sounds like a great idea. I've been out of .22 for months and can't find any anywhere.
