Pats also gave him up because he takes plays off.sleeper;1820616 wrote:Except if he walks in FA after the season, they get a comparable draft pick.
Pats gave him up because he sucks.
They didn't just give him up because they wanted a mid round draft pick lol

Wow sign me up for a long term deal for a guy who takes plays off.SportsAndLady;1820623 wrote:Pats also gave him up because he takes plays off.

The reality is the Pats could have used this super talent to win a Super Bowl this year but they thought, "Naw, let's dump him to the Browns for a compensatory 3rd round pick next year".
LOL please. He was traded because he sucks and the Browns took the bait.

I was just adding on to what you were saying. Pats traded him because a) they weren't wanting to give him a big contract, b) he takes plays off and c) he wasn't very good this year.sleeper;1820721 wrote:Wow sign me up for a long term deal for a guy who takes plays off.

Locker room issues maybe? They would have received a comp pick next year if he left in FA...likely lower than the 3/4 the browns gave so they gave him up for basically a 2 round better pick. Something smells.....odd...sleeper;1820723 wrote:The reality is the Pats could have used this super talent to win a Super Bowl this year but they thought, "Naw, let's dump him to the Browns for a compensatory 3rd round pick next year".

Hopefully he's released at the end of the season.

Maybe the Browns just paid a 3rd rounder to at least get to the negotiation table with an elite player? The Browns can only use so many draft picks before they start converting them to other types of assets.

Solid point. With him being in house they likely have an easier route to try and resign him, or at least franchise. They could extend before he hits the market but I HIGHLY doubt he would do tha without testing the waters first.Azubuike24;1820762 wrote:Maybe the Browns just paid a 3rd rounder to at least get to the negotiation table with an elite player? Patriots fanboys said the same thing about Chandler Jones. The bottom line is the Patriots have to pay a bunch of guys so they are picking which ones they can't replace.

Hate the play calling. 3rd and 2 and we throw 20 yard pass and then kick a fg. Just run it twice you're 0-8

A lot. I can't decide if the defense sucks because of the players or if Horton stinks.

Both, but Horton is below AVG imo.iclfan2;1822184 wrote:A lot. I can't decide if the defense sucks because of the players or if Horton stinks.

Browns should consider playing in the developmental league. So bad.

Last years OSU team would have beaten this Browns team. Better skill players and defense
