Seriously doubt he paid for much, if any of it.

Curious for the opinion from some real Browns fans. Would you rather rg3 lead the team to mediocre success, maybe beating rivals Steelers/Bengals or would you rather him completely fail, which improves the draft chances for a qb next year?

I'll play along despite not being a Browns fan. Mediocre success isn't getting the Browns into the playoffs in the AFC, especially the north and only maybe beating Pittsburgh and Cincinnati. So instead of finishing at the bottom, you're finishing in the middle, still missing the playoffs and subsequently a potential elite QB in the draft.

I'm with you. Yay! We split with our rivals, still missed the playoffs, and will still float in mediocrity forever! Yay!

The biggest thing I want to see is some desire and people giving effort. Play the young kids, develop them, and have some heart.

I want to have a future QB.

So this season is going to be pretty dreadful for me.

Yes, play the rookies/young guys. It made no sense the past 2 seasons why Desir/Orchard/Gilbert//Cooper/Bibbs etc... weren't getting any burn.

No lol pat wrote some article the other day and I was just shaking my head.

Also read this yesterday from the ESPN after draft power rankings:

"I don't know. I'm all for new points of view, and I recognize that nothing the Browns were doing was working. But I'd love to get a look at the groundbreaking analytic study that says Robert Griffin III is worth $7.5 million a year."

And then not a day later ESPN has Barnwell's article above that completely destroys that argument lol

"Griffin may not work out, but if he fails, all it costs the Browns is $6.8 million, and it pushes them closer to the No. 1 pick in 2017, which they obviously want anyway. And if he does work out, the Browns suddenly acquired a franchise quarterback without even impacting their compensatory picks, because Griffin was cut by Washington and won't result in any compensation from the NFL."

ESPN literally contradicts themselves with every article that's released through their mostly garbage site.

I also liked the article snippet on the Browns. Too early to tell how this will all play out but the strategy is consistent with the exception being keeping Joe Thomas. My guess is, Joe Thomas will be shipped out sometime this year to a contender who desperately needs a LT and we will get a 1st round pick in return.

I hope so, he's big and fast. We need that.

Found this interesting, with Haden being sidelined due to the ankle surgery from March:

Thus, his absence allows for other players to prove they can contribute. During OTAs at present, former Round 1 draft pick Justin Gilbert is working alongside Tramon Williams as a first-team cornerback, something that could help him get back on the field in a bigger capacity than he did in his mostly-lost 2015 season.

Why didn't Pryor play much last year? He may be big and fast but can he route run and catch the ball consistently? It's hard for me to believe with the absolute junk at WR we trotted out there game after game that Pryor couldn't crack the rotation.

Also Browns cut him before the first game, and then didn't resign him until very later in the year. Hopefully this year with a full offseason with an offense he knows we can see him crack the rotation.

Which was really fucking stupid. We kept a 4th TE over him which made no sense. Rob fucking Houseler, SMH. That was one of the head scratching moments for Farmer. Charles Johnson ended up not doing dick last season, but cutting him was also fucking stupid. He had size, speed, and was the Vikings #1 WR for crying out loud. You don't cut 24 yr old BIG/Fast WRs that catch on other teams when you have the worst WR group in the league. Just fucking stupid.

Well Charles Johnson was a colossal bust and probably will get buried in Minnesota. I thought that would've been a much bigger mistake than it was for Cleveland.
