Agreed. I know he just wants to worry about football only, but you have an obligation of speaking to the media as well, it comes with the territory. Local and national media are not people you want to piss off and try to talk down to and treat them like idiots (which he seems to do...a lot), especially in college. They can make your program look bad real quick, and that won't help with recruiting.

Most under performing team of all time deserves to sit at home. They have absolutely no one to blame but themselves. So what if they go blow up ND or Stanford? Bowl games other than the Semis don't mean a thing anymore and are a huge waste of everyone's time.

Herbie was saying that the loser of the Big Ten title game goes to the Rose Bowl. Of course Herbie is an idiot. Not sure if he was actually right for once.

If MSU wins, why wouldn't Iowa go to Rose Bowl? Why wouldn't the loser of Big Ten championship go no matter what?

The Rose Bowl gets the highest ranked, non playoff B1G team. Which would most likely be OSU.

The fact that Stanford is being considered for the playoffs is crazy to me. The beat a mediocre ND team that was ranked way to high. Neither team has any defense and they have two loses playing USC for conference championship (who they already beat). I can see a way for OSU to get there but can listen to the UNC as well.
