Over the years in my marriage we have had many pets here is a list of animals and their names.

My parents have had two dogs during my lifetime. We got Oakley when I was in second grade, and they got Reo when I was in college. Reo's name came from my uncle's initials, who passed away from brain cancer around the same time.
Now my wife and I have a boxer-sharpei mixed puppy named Athena. She is cuter than any of your pets.

Cherokee - 10 year old Husky
Dakota - 6 year old Husky
Molly - 3 year old American Eskimo

Also currently have a rabbit simply named "baby bunny", even though he's like 4 years old. My son couldn't think of a name, so he said he wanted to call him that, so, whatever, it's your rabbit.

My dog is Tanner Conrad. He's a Yorkie/Dachshund mix. We also have a cat named Truffles.
Growing up, we had two black labs named Hannah and Jordan and a Cairn terrier named Madison. My parents currently have Rudy (West Highland White), Keely (Yorkie), Riley (Chinese Crested), Anya (German Step mix), and Gunther (Great Dane). They are crazy dog people.
We typically give our dogs people names.

Growing up we had cats.
And a couple dogs. Had a dog named duke that was an awesome dog but our drunk of a neighbor on the back of our property, shot him one day because he thought he was a wolf....

growing up i had a dalmation mut - Millie. Lived to be 18 years old.
Since then i have had 3 dachshunds:
Brutus - died at 4 (hit by a car)
Oscar - 7 and still going
Ladybird - 4 and still going.

No pets in my house! I'm not in the business of cleaning up hair, dog/cat shit, eliminating pet odor and feeding more mouths than I already do with my four kids!

We've had a hell of a lot of black labs and cats and I'm in no state to attempt remembering all of their names.
One in particular male black lab who was not fixed when he showed up was named "Duke" by the previous owners. Pure bred with papers but a friggin nut job. Showed up near Urbana on our farm, wandering from Clark County. Duke had dog tags, so we called the owner; who said "can't train 'em. Nice dog but likes to wander. Want to keep Duke?" so we did.
After making a chain link fence between barns, along with cement bricks across the bottom and the dog still got loose to run, fuck em'.

Asshole dog's name is Winchester. Too many cats to mention but their names originate from Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Supernatural and The Lion King. My girlfriend and her daughter named them all and I've change their names (nicknames) to my liking. Each cat/kitten has at least 2-3 nicknames, as does the dog.
