First if you read the article he was not kicked off the team. He left the program and the school. Second I have no clue how he got the technical foul, what I was saying was if Derek Kock got a T for dunking do you think he would sit out a quarter? No. Kid has some problems, maybe a change will help. Wooster is getting a good basketball player thats for sure.

And from the article, there needs to be an emergency custody hearing so dad can take custody and make his transfer "bona fide" in the eyes of the state so he can play right away for Wooster? How about no.....you screwed up and got yourself kicked off the team. Suffer the consequences.

What a mess....
No way its the kids fault...NO! Its the coaches fault...has to be. His parents should allow him to transfer away from the coach that has been TOO TOUGH on him and disciplined him. "Thats my little boy he is disciplining like that and making him sit the bench...how dare he!!! Were changing schools!!! That will show him!"

There was some history here from what I have heard. As far as the technical at Dalton, he shoved a Dalton player in the back when they were heading to the end of quarter timeout.

The state should recognize this kid is making a sports move to avoid discipline and make him sit the 11 games next season like a transferring athlete would have to.

And from what I have read on social media...Mom should have to sit out 11 games as well!

You Wayne county people are funny. Could you imagine this happening in a bigger city, yes, yes I can it happens every year. The State will not step in and stop anything that happened that is team rule or school rule related. If he didn't break and OHSAA rule, which he didn't, and if he gets his custody transferred to his Dad who lives in Wooster, then he should be able to play whenever the coach at Wooster seems it is appropriate.

Actually unc4life you must not know as much as you think. Even if the custody is granted and the kid moves, a transfer to a new district after playing in high school is an automatic half season suspension per sport. Of-course the paperwork can be filed to show the move is legit and the player should be excused from this rule. But the process of filing the papers and the review of the case by the OHSAA still must take place before the player is eligible at a new school. Any AD, Principal or even coach should know this. Typically this would happen in the of season so it is not an issue. Mid season is different.

He would/will be a good addition for the Generals. However, Wooster has a good thing going and messing with team chemistry right before the tournament may not be in the best interest for Coach Snow
