These are my thoughts as well. I live out of state, so it will be a bit harder, but I think it is a bonding experience. I would probably be OK with them also rooting for the Gamecocks and/ or the Panthers.HitsRus;1764199 wrote:I'm a homer, and there is no way I'd let my kids grow up to be anything but Cleveland /OSU fans. We are a big sports family, and there are some things that just are not negotiable.

I'm a dolphins fan, raised by a bengals fan in a house full of browns fan siblings. Whoever the kid likes, support it. Why the fuck would it matter to you.

I ended up a Browns fan like my old man. He's an OSU fan, but I gravitated towards Notre Dame and always was an Irish fan. He never cared. I'll never care either. If my sons a Buckeye fan, so be it. If he's an Irish fan, so be it.

Sounds like things haven't changed.Ironman92;1764196 wrote:As an elementary kid back in the early/mid 80's I remember having a Falcons duffle bag, Broncos jersey, Giants jersey, Seahawks....along with my Steelers stuff.
Just liked how they looked. Not a lot of things are real important to a 10 year old.

Let the kid cheer for whoever he wants. After he does, explain why you make fun of him. The trolling opponents is half the fun.

Parents could be arrested for child abuse if they make their kids Clowns or Thuggalier fans.
