The OC must be a den of racist mofos...Jack Nicklaus is mentioned on numerous posts (including mine) and well deserved it but really c'mon does he deserve it more than the single greatest athlete of all time,.,Jesse Owens? Jesse Owens is easily the single greatest Ohioan of all time. The only guy to even remotely challenge that is the Native American Tecumseh who never actually knew he was from "Ohio".

I see Woody was nominated, and as much as I like him, Paul Brown was by far and away the most influential person far as football goes.

I'll listen to debate on many of these names, but not Armstrong. The guy was the first man on the moon for crissakes.

Not dissing Armstrong, but he doesn't get there without the Wrights, or John Glenn. All deserve consideration.

John Glenn was essentially a chimpanzee strapped to a rocket who became a crappy Senator for 100 yrs due to no term limits. Not worthy.

Where would Billy Milligan rank? Mainly because I remember him growing up due to the whole "multiple personality" thing. Also, whenever (if ever) the Chillicothe serial killer is caught, he/she would be making a strong bid for this honor.

I knew they didn't even fly in Ohio, but I will admit I did think they were born in Ohio. If that's the case, then yeah, I agree with you... screw them. I almost didn't even include them in my list, but I figured they did do a pretty important thing. So what's their tie then to Ohio?
