I'd prefer this to start Monday. I'm in Columbus this weekend.

Out of town from Monday-Thursday, the sooner the better for me.

Whenever is fine for me. Gone every weekend until the Super Bowl, so don't make plans around my schedule lol.

I mean, we can start next week sometime, we just have to have the draft done by November 12th. Last year, it took us like 3-4 weeks to finish, but we also had to debate rules, rosters, etc...

So lets shoot for next Friday to start, 12 PM start time. 8 hour clock active between midnight/8AM. That gives us a bit more time to finalize rosters.

S&L, I activated you. I can re-activate any team apparently. Lafferty will have to join himself though, and Birddog, Pick6 and RecLegend haven't posted yet to confirm they want in.

We can roll with 10 and if we get anymore, gravy.

Yeah, Lafferty hasn't joined yet. However, if we're counting him, we have 9 confirmed. We need 1 more to get 10 and start the draft this weekend. Season begins in 4 weeks.

If he said he would be, I can always activate his team. He would just need to be ready to draft soon. I'll go ahead and activate his team until we hear otherwise.

Do we want to expand the rosters play 2-3 players (last year it was 15x12=180, so we would have 17/18x10=170/180)? Maybe start the following...

I'd rather go with another UTIL or bench spot than another center. Those fuckers are hard enough to find 2 decent ones.

A third center would be awful. I would only want that if we said 6'11 and up is automatically a center.

Yeah I think this would be good. I say lets keep it at 2 wildcards.

THE RULES
Entry Fee - Entries will cost $40 and must be paid to me via Paypal at [email protected].

Rosters - 10 teams with 18 players each. 5 G, 5 F, 2 C, 4 FLEX players and 3 bench players. You will have the ability to set your lineup just like a regular fantasy league.

Player Pool - Players must be selected from the following conferences. Pac 12, SEC, ACC, Big East, AAC, Big Ten, Big XII, A-10, C-USA, Mountain West, WCC, Missouri Valley and Horizon. Each roster may have 3 players from conferences outside of these leagues.

Scoring - Scoring will be based on (PTSx1+REBx1.25+ASTx1.5+STLx1.5+BLKx1.5+TOx-1)=TOTAL/GAMES PLAYED=AVG. The highest AVG per week will receive 10 points, the lowest will receive 1 point, etc.

Minimum/Maximum Games - Since we are using average, the number of games played isn't a big deal. However, each position will be required to play a minimum of 1 game per week.

Substitutions - You may add or drop a player at any time, but once a player is dropped, you may not add that player back (other teams can) and the player replacing him must be within 5% of that player in production for the season (a post must be made in the weekly thread). There is a limit of THREE subs per season.

Playoffs - The top 6 teams will make the playoffs, with the top 2 receiving byes and the other 4 being wild cards. The playoffs will follow a strict 1v4/5, 2v3/6 format.

Payouts
$400 total prize pool - TBA

The only thing we really could change would be...the subs. Do we want to change that? Or just keep it at 3 players a year, and they must be guys within 5% on the high end of who you dropped. Pretty simple.

Looks like all 10 are joined. Hopefully someone gets a hold of Birddog23 over the weekend.

I vote 2 wildcards.

I think 2 is good also.

Proposal for a rule change on the rosters...Shit on this if you so desire. If it needs explained better, I aplogize, I haven't slept much.

1 player from each of the non wild-card conferences
2 wild card's.
3 from any non wild card conference

Maybe add another NON WC conference? The MAC? That would make it 1 from each major and 2 from WC and then additional 2 from any major.

Just something I thought of a while back and haven't posted. Makes for a more challenging draft.

I dont hate that idea. It doesn't matter to me. I'm all for making stuff more challenging, and this would certainly fit the bill. Would require a ton more research. Though lol.
