CNN wanted a cat fight last night - it was set up to get Trump to blow his top on somebody. I thought he was gonna take the bait a couple times but for the most part kept it under control.

I think that CNN definitely wanted a cat fight… they virtually came out and said that was their plan. Even the radio ads for the debate made it sound like it was going to be free-for-all.

And what better place for the liberal media to have candidates break Reagan's eleventh commandment, ("Thou shalt not speak ill of any fellow Republican"), than at the Reagan Presidential Library?!?!?! Gotta believe there were many libs loving seeing that.

I'd guess most of the left see Trump as the only candidate in the GOP who isnt batshit crazy and worried about gays and planned parenthood.

Trump isn't going anywhere. He's going to be very difficult to beat. Best chance is for him to continue raining down dumb comment and dumb comment; however he seems to have survived so far with plenty of those so I don't know.

If Trump wasn't a narcissistic asshole, I would support him just for the fact that he's been successful and he's not a career politician. I don't want an asshole to represent the US but I would like to see him continue running for President just for the debate performances.

The Republican party needs to stop with the BibleThumping or they will never win be in the white house again. Homosexuality has been considered a perversion in most of the world for thousands of years. People have been raised to believe in the depths of their being that it is wrong. Yet some expect that in the span of a few years that people can/will abandon their deep seeded beliefs in some sort of immediate, universal epiphany. People need time to adapt...and to come to their own conclusions about homosexuality in a secular society.

While equal rights for all people regardless of sexual orientation is a righteous cause, it is a mistake to link that to abortion, which is a grisly violation of natural law. It cuts across all religion and gender. Almost everybody understands the need for laws such that people act responsibly...we have laws for traffic...laws for guns...laws for safety etc. etc . But somehow, when it comes to human sexuality, we allow and even subsidize irresponsibility..stripping the rights from the most vulnerable and awarding the power of life and death to the irresponsible.

Jesus makes it pretty clear that you will be judged how you treat the poor, the weak, your enemies. He says your love in regards to how you treat those people is how much you actually love the Lord. (matthew 25:34ish)

A follower of Christ cannot align very well with either a democrat or republican due to (Abortion & Stinginess)

When you get wrapped up in being a lemming to the right or left you learn how not to follow the teaching of Christ but pervert your beliefs to tow a party line.

Are you saying that Christians are not sympathetic to the poor???? I don't know of a church group,at all, that doesn't have at least one outreach program to the poorest in their community.

Let's just say this. How terrible really has the Democratic Party been and Barack Obama in the mind of average people if millions are even considering voting for these guys? Watched the debate with my dad who has spent his whole life running the family business and is not into politics. He was a big John McCain fan because he respected his military record and he doesn't really care one way or the other about Obama. He is sitting there with this "wtf" look on his face as these guys are up there talking about war, vaccines, gay marriage, planned parenthood.

Are Christians sympathetic to the poor? Yes. Are non-Christians sympathetic to the poor? Yes.

New Testament says in a very summarized fashion: What good is it to think you are loving because you love your mom/brother? Even a sinner loves their moms. That doesn't make you a better Christian because you love your mom. What does, though, is that you can love strangers/enemies/gays as yourself. To be a peacemaker. This is how much you actually love God. Loving your neighbor is the Greatest Commandment.

It bothers me that we are so set on being divisive as Christians. I just don't feel like that's our purpose. But we are meant to do different things, so maybe it's just not for me.
