I used to like Pettinne but is decision making continues to baffle. What he fails tounderstand is that if he loses with McCown, he gone. If he loses with Manziel, he stay. He's a fuggin idiot.IggyPride00;1751432 wrote:I was just listening to the radio again and Browns fans were calling in just irate about the new McCown news. Clear implications are that Pettine is literally coaching for his job this week and has so little faith in Johnny he prefers a 36 year old half concussed journeyman that thinks he Elway in a Super Bowl.
The fan base is falling apart right now and the despair I was so concerned about has officially set in. People are already calling in talking about the draft, as well as how we will inevitably screw ourselves for it by winning some meaningless games with Pettine's new buttboy McCown.
This guy has a hard-on for journeyman QB's that would make even Mangini blush. Perfect fit for Cleveland.

Sounds like the Browns are expecting McCown to be cleared today smh. I hate the fact he is starting.

Same. Hated the idea since we signed him. The way he plays tho, he's not gonna last. He took 2 big shots on the opening drive, and least 3 in the 3rd preseason game.shook_17;1751524 wrote:Sounds like the Browns are expecting McCown to be cleared today smh. I hate the fact he is starting.

The Browns signed McCown this past season because Manziel was immature and living in a rehab center. Manziel has an opportunity now, but his receivers need to quit dropping his passes, the o line needs to pass protect and open up some holes, something they didn't do last week. If that happens, Manziel will shine.
On the Fan this morning...a poll was conducted and 44% wanted McCown to start, 38% wanted Manziel to start...news before McCown was ruled out. Just goes to show you the Johnny bashing media bias has infested the collective brains of the fan base.
Manziel will make mistakes..all young quarterbacks do. But he will continue to improve as he has done every week since training camp started.

No...most of us who are objective just don't think he is very good at all.Footwedge;1751613 wrote:On the Fan this morning...a poll was conducted and 44% wanted McCown to start, 38% wanted Manziel to start...news before McCown was ruled out. His inability to accept reality is hilarious. It brings the same lulz as IQQY's inability to have any feelings besides depression.GoChiefs;1751623 wrote:I like how he's already setting up his excuses for when Johnny fails. Lol

Manziel is the starter. There is a 0% chance the Browns win a game with him at the helm.
If we lose by less than 3 TDs, I'll be impressed.

I don't think mariota has nearly the same success as he did against the bucs. Personally feel he looks like Jamies last week this week.
Also, sleeper we need manzie to start the rest of the year. Need to know what we have in him.

He does tend to have the same over-the-top whiny demeanor whether it be football, baseball, basketball, golf, tennis, politics or whatever. It's either a very well-planned act or he's a legit miserable bastard whose main life goal is to share his inner pain with the world.lhslep134;1751651 wrote:I'm not sure. Last I checked it's YOU who always cries after a thread derailment and you blame it on me. You do it on almost every thread I post and I can show you numerous examples.DeyDurkie5;1751654 wrote:Classic lshlep, gets mad when threads get off topic
But please, go ahead and post an example of ME getting mad for a thread-derailing. If you need some assistance, I'll go ahead and tell you that you won't be able to find one. I don't care if a thread gets derailed. In fact, my normal go-to response is "it's the OC, what do you expect".
So keep on crying while falsely accusing me of sinking to your same sad, pathetic level. If only I was as cool as you...

I think the Browns will make it more difficult for Mariota than what he faced last week.DeyDurkie5;1751659 wrote:Still not discussing Browns vs Titans...
Still not proving up your false assertion...
But it's OK because I can't expect you to accomplish the impossible. You're not THAT cool. Just cooler than us on the OC. Only the coolest of kids lob unsupportable assertions like it's no biggie.

The only reason to start Manziel the rest of the year is if you want the #1 overall pick. We know what we have in him and that's nothing but a waste of space.DeyDurkie5;1751654 wrote:Classic lshlep, gets mad when threads get off topic but is the sole reason to keep threads off topic.

I mean seriously, has Manziel made one play in the NFL that you go "Wow, that's an NFL QB". No. He never will.
