I wonder if Roy will take his team to plantation island for a week of rest and relaxation next year?

This is 100% correct. I'm not happy with the loss, but when you play on another team's campus and it is basically their Super Bowl, anything can happen with a young team. This experience will help more than it hurts in the long run. Carolina isn't a true title contender this season but can still have a very good "after title" year.

When you are the fan of the defending champs, losses like this are a little easier to stomach.

This team reminds me of the 2003-2004 team that went 18-9 (8-8 ACC). They were so young and it showed. The talent is there though. I'm sure everyone remembers what happened in 2004-2005. National Title.

I was thinking the same thing today. This year's team draws comparisons from the 2005-2006 team quite often, and that's probably because they followed the 2005 National Championship team, just as this year's squad follows the 2009 National Championship team. However, I think the 03-04 comparison is very accurate as well. Let's hope that history repeats itself.

That major upset was kinda under the radar way more than you'd think. I was going to get on here to read about it but kept forgetting....I'm glad I remembered.

02.....your comments sound exactly like what I yelled at the tv all year watching the Steelers......most I've actually lol'd in a long time.

I won't puff up as a Duke fan for the simple purpose of the Tarheels are the defending champs and for a while have owned Duke lately and Roy was classy about it.....I know how bad UNC looked...but I also know how they will play at least against 1 ACC team.....I'm not falling for it.
