I never generalized that anyone was pissing away money....I only said people are responsible for their own choices, and cited basic personal economics principles. It is pretty standard advice, that no matter how young you are, or how little you make, that you need to put some away in your emergency fund. If you can't put $50 then put $40, If you can't do $40 then $30, or $25. It takes discipline to put money away, as there are always things that you want and it's so easy to spend it. People that find that they absolutlely cannot put anything away, should be looking and acting to improve their situation so that they can.....we are talking able body people here......not the handicapped or challenged or infirm. What they don't need to hear, is some sycophant politician telling them that it's somebody elses fault and responsibility. People need to empower themselves, not feel sorry or helpless and thus enslave themselves to dependency.
