A pain, not a cramp? Obviously I know that a cramp will cause pain but there's an obvious difference.like_that;695989 wrote:Woke up with crazy pain at 3am on the side of my foot. Came out of nowhere, I couldn't even walk so i had to hop to my freezer to get ice and ibuprofen. Feels a little better now, but it is pretty sore still. Pisses me off, I have no idea what the hell is wrong, and I really hate skipping out on workouts. I am considering doing a light workout at the gym on the cross trainer, but I really don't want to aggravate it any further.

That's pretty cool. It's the first I've really looked into what paleo even meant.

Felt just about the same as my Ankle felt when i sprained it. Never really had a leg or foot cramp, so I don't know how that feels or how long it lasts. My foot is a lot better today, still can tell its not 100% though.

If you had a foot cramp, you'd know it. I periodically get them and my friggin toes curl up/lock. Hurts like a mofo.

It's actually a pretty easy diet to follow and meals are easy to prepare. I basically take a piece of meat, throw it in a skillet with some grassfed butter or coconut oil and then throw various veggies in there with it. Done! Sheds fat like crazy too.
Like most people I was a carb freak and loved bread, cereals, etc. Now I don't have the slightest craving for them. My only real cheat food is 70% dark chocolate which is good for you.
Had a steak with 1/2 cup of blueberries covered in coconut milk for breakfast.

I- Power today. Still skipping on leg tris and moving pushups. Gotta get enough energy to get those in so I can move on to max.

Grassfed beef isn't cheap. But that wouldn't be a problem for you because you have the hookup. Other than that I eat whole eggs (Omega 3 rich brown farm eggs, not the white ones), fish, chicken, pork, bison, nuts (almonds & macadamias mostly) along with veggies. For those who can't get grassfed, I've heard by cooking it in the grassfed butter (I use Kerry Gold Irish butter) or coconut oil, it raises the Omega 3's in store bought beef.
This way of eating is ideal for a hunter. Venison, wild birds (pheasant, duck, turkey, etc), rabbit are all good meats for paleo eating.

Swam 1.2, biked 19 (in 52 minutes! thanks insanity), ran 2.1 with the last 2/10 being a 5mm pace.
Amazed less tired and a slower heartrate working out 110-120 minutes straight than after an insanity day.

I workout on a cement basement floor, would they be OK for such a hard surface? I have been getting pain in my feet during plyo wearing my NB shoes lately. I switched to a pair of Nikes and haven't had as much pain but still have a little. I haven't had time to go to the store and try em on.

If your doing P90X (which I think you are from reading the post) go out and by a 4x3 piece mat to save your feet, ankles and knees.
I've been doing the level ones and other bent over runs in insanity with my feet off and hands on the mat to avoid tearing it up.

Definitely. Probably even better for your feet. They are very comfortable.
My biggest issue is that I have friggin "monkey toes." I can hold a baseball between my big toe and second toe with ease. On my left foot my second toe is way too long and still rams up against the front of the shoe.
I wore the Vibrams last night for my workout which included Insanity Cardio Abs which include power jumps, etc. I also do sprints in place and "speed" jumping jacks and my feet felt awesome. I wore them at work today for a half a day but my feet got cold so I took them off. I'll be wearing them tonight for my outside walk.
If you want to go "conventional" on shoes, I purchased a pair of Under Armours and those were great for plyo & Insanity.

Started INSANITY on Monday. Pretty intense so far, definitely glad today was recovery day. Any helpful tips or pointers? I will let you know though that I did download all these so I dont have the nutrition plan(although I did look at it) or the Shakeology(but i do have a lot of Whey Protein).
All in all though I do like it so far. Preparing to run a 5 miler in August so this will begin to get me back into shape

I-Plyo, skipped all three sets of ski abs (which have always done) and did two and one half (2½ of the 3) of the level ones. Missed out on 3 1/2 exercises, good improvement from last time.

Any recommendations on places to get cheap protein powders? I currently have been using GNC Whey but I know its overpriced at the store. I would guess some websites have good deals.

I- Power today. Still skipping on leg tris and moving pushups. I just can not get enough energy and keep my heart rate down to do those power moves yet.

That shit is bananas yo! Another attempt at Insanity Pure Cardio.
Competed the Mary Katherine Pedal this time, skipped all of level 2 pushups, skipped ½ power knees and completed all of mnt climbers, skipped all of suicide jacks and did half of the pushup jacks. So I when from skipping 4 segments to skipping 3 segments. Heart rate reached 162 right before skipping the level2 pushups.
Peace out yo.

I-Plyo, skipped all three sets of ski abs (which have always done) but comeplted all of the level ones. Only now skipping out on 3 exercises, a little but alot improvement from last time.
Did do some P90X weight training over the weekned, a bit sore from that, I think I need to incorporate it back in some how.
