At the very least. You get enough pounding from running up and down the basketball court. Don't abuse yourself any more.

(Two double entendres for you there)

For anyone doing insanity, on the days you had the fit test and the work out, did you do them back to back or at different times of the day? I did the fit test then max cardio circuit right after and i by the end i could barely do the moves ha

I did them back to back. Didn't really feel like splitting them up nor did I have the time.

I'm doing it at our school's weight room. Is the only thing I need the DVD's?

Day one is mainly pushups and pullups. You will need a chin up bar, if not, does the weight room have a Smith press you can do pull ups from?

Wow. HOLY SHIT. So freaking tired. Couldn't get through all of it without bowing out. I did it all, but my reps were low. Couldn't do pull-ups, had to use bands. Never realized how out of shape I truly am.

Another big thing I am going to try to stick to is a better diet. I was doing a weight loss shake for breakfast/lunch (usually), but I'd pig out at dinner. Going to try to eat 5 times a day.

B - Two eggs, one piece of toast
SN - Nutrigrain bar
L - Salad
SN - Fruit/veggies with low-fat dip
D - Light food

Weekends - 28 beers.

Your bread better be whole grain.
Don't eat the nutrigrain bar, go get Larabars.
The greener the salad the better, iceberg is worthless.

The very first time I did chest and back, I got to the last set of dive bombers, looked at the screen and yelled, "Fuck You Tony Horton!"

1) Hillbilly bread
2) Why?
3) Why?

Thing is, by following the diet I listed, it's still better than what I was doing. I just want to change habits, not necessarily go super ape-shit on this thing.

I think I could only do 5 dive bombers the 2nd time. I'm still sore as hell.

I seriously about puked today. Not sure how I held it down. One of the things that killed me was playing basketball yesterday. I'm used to running up and down a basketball floor, but I haven't jumped in a LONG time. Groin is very sore today from playing basketball, and that hindered my performance on a couple of the ab things.

Are larabars the same price as Nutrigrain?
What's a good type of bread to eat?

Care to give me an example of a 5 meal per day plan that you might have followed?

Starting week 12 of my Leangains lifestyle. My weight has basically stayed the same throughout with me gaining a ton of muscle and burning a lot of my fat. It is definitely looking like that I will be meeting my June 2nd goals of Deadlifting 350, Back Squatting 325, and Bench Pressing 195. I am at 320, 295, and 165 in each right now so I have 10 weeks to really hit it hard and hopefully keep improving.

Good luck Ernest, I know how tough both P90X/Insanity are. The key is just pushing play everyday and telling yourself you can. After its all over you'll be glad you did it! Oh and definitely expect to be really sore the first week lol.
