She wouldn't be able to touch Floyd. He's too fast. If she went in attacking throwing wild haymakers like in her last fight; Floyd would knock her out in about 2 punches.

Judo and bjj are technique based, she most certainly could slam him. break his ribs and either break his arm or choke him unconscious. If he were trained in those arts and proficient I would say no way but he knows nothing about them.

She could use a high guard and close the distance that way. or pull guard if needed. She wouldn't try what she did in her last fight.

I think she's right. I don't think she would beat him in the sport of boxing but in a fight I would pick Ronda every time. Yes she's a woman, but she is built like a stallion and knows how to win a fight. Floyd just dances around and manipulates the rules of boxing to win.

My feelings are right in line with Sportchampps....in a straight up "skilled" boxing match, Floyd wins, no question, but if it's a "no rules" type of deal and Rousey gets him to the ground, he's done. Doesn't stand a snowball's chance in Hell. The big "if" is whether she could get him in that position.

.No commission in this country would ever sanction a man vs a woman.

Because it's illegal as far as I know, and morally wrong. It would do incredible business though, beyond belief.

Atlantic City should promote it. They got nothing to lose.

Why would it be illegal? Just because its a contact sport?

This thread keeps asking "Well, if it was a pure boxing fight, Mayweather would win" -- Why is this even being typed? That's like saying "If lebron james races against Usain Bolt, Usain Bolt wins easy"

Yes, No shit.

I see people use that argument and it doesn't make sense to me, boxing and mma are comparable in some ways because they are both combat sports and it's a fight.

I don't know if it's illegal or not but I would think it would be. I can pretty much guarantee that no commission in the US would sanction it though, would be wrong on so many levels and they are supposed to be looking out for the health and safety of the fighters.

I'd understand the "looking out for the health and safety" argument if we were talking an entire league of boxing men vs. women MMA fighters. This is a special circumstance between two of the worlds best boxers and MMA fighters, who just happen to be of the opposite sex.

A one time fight. One which is well ref'ed and controlled. Also wondering why it would even have to be sanctioned. Not like they would be fighting for an official title/belt.
Do it as some charity event.

The UFC would lose their promoter's license which would be a death sentence. How do you promote a fight where a man is going to be hitting a woman? Especially in this soft ass cookie cutter PC world that we live in today.

If they refused to sanction the fight, Ronda would have a fairly strong discrimination case.

Lol one hit from Floyd and Rousey is unconcious. I can't believe some people think that she could win.

Trust me even Rousey knows this remember when she spoke of the transgender fighter. Rousey is just hyping herself up which is cool but she would get her ass knocked out if she fought Floyd. He's faster and stronger and the mma gloves would just increase his speed. She would have to come out and immediately go for the take down. But one hit and she's asleep.

Floyd has no punching power, been proven time and time again, also has brittle hands.
