I'd say an 18 year old having sex with their 16 year old significant other and then being charged with statutory rape is probably not that disgusting. But it would depend on the circumstances.

I remember watching comedians in the 90s that had jokes about this during their routines. It seems to me it was kinda well known to quite a few people. Its kinda sickening that this was just hidden for so long. Is he from Stoopidville?
