Guys that grow up in a multural cultural area and have had more interactions with blacks are always called racists when we speak our minds around the suburbanites who have had very little interactions .

I don't get called that . I grew up with them . I had to fight them . I been with some of the girls. I got jumped several times just for being white. I have drank in several mixed bars or outright black bars. I don't use the N word on a regular basis but I have used it in my lifetime. I have a friend who dates just black woman and has a mixed kid and is not afraid to use the N word in a bar full of blacks if he hears cracker or some other derogatory comment against whites, Some of the best friends I have ever had were and are black ,but at the same time I have had several confrontations with blacks which I never initiated. I went to the service and seen how everything was so segregated and how sorry the white suburbanites were and how the blacks hated white people as a whole. I have my war marks and have earned my stripes in race relations. I love the music and,the food . I don't hate anybody, just because of the way they look or who they sleep with . I know a lot of people who just stick to their own kind too . Nothing wrong with that. I just like people to be themselves and not some phony bolonga.

The majority of people I've known who I would call racists usually have grown up around the race they are biased against. Specifically people from smallish communities that might be like 15% latino, black, etc. They see a specific group of people represented poorly to their face growing up, and assume that is how the world is at large.

Good point. Ive seen it both ways . I have lived in mixed neighborhoods and I have also lived in all white neighborhoods. Sometimes when I hear white people use racial epithets who have rarely been around black folk so freely, and act like blacks are scum, it pisses me off. I have been around black people who hate white people too and try and start shit at every turn . They piss me off too. I can't stand them. The fact of the matter is we are all prejudiced in some ways no matter how hard we try not to be . I love black people . I love the culture . I love the togetherness . I love the music and food (Part of the culture)
At the same time I have had issues with blacks in the work place who have had a chip on their shoulder or were higher up and abused the authority too. I have had many interesting experiences .
