Jr Smith is on fire! Even with a 5 minute drought between buckets, the cavs offense is rolling.

Cavs scoring in bunches recently. Like Shump more than ever.

He had a very good James Harden style game. Lots of points, zero defense.sleeper;1774197 wrote:Like Wiggins too.

I think he was a -28 today despite scoring 35.HighRoller74;1774203 wrote:He had a very good James Harden style game. Lots of points, zero defense.

Wiggins has been graded as the 4th worst defender in the NBA, at any position

Wiggins is so athletic and can shoot it too. But he also does nothing else.

Wasn't the narrative on him coming out that he was a "total package"? Slasher/shooter/defender?

Sounds like he's 4th worst in desire. He's too long and athletic not to be a bit better.HighRoller74;1774208 wrote:Wiggins has been graded as the 4th worst defender in the NBA, at any position
Probably didn't have a good base growing up. This is the first time in his life where people will start to care (those who want him to max as a player anyways, but still hasn't affected Harden)
He'll make zillions regardless but Dominique seems to be his max if he's never going to bother. I imagine he'll work his way to average on defense.

I imagine he just doesn't care on the wolves. Which is more concerning than his defensive grades IMO.
He was a great defender at ku there's no way he just lost the ability to play D

He can come back to Cleveland lol. Yeah, I don't get it. I remember the talk before his rookie year was he could play defense right away and he would mold into a scorer. The exact opposite has happened so far.SportsAndLady;1774251 wrote:I imagine he just doesn't care on the wolves. Which is more concerning than his defensive grades IMO.

Major Cavs trade today...
Joe Harris, 2017 2nd rounder and cash to Orlando for a 2020 2nd rounder.
Harris is out for the season so why not just waive him?

From Windhorst
"Picks involved in Cavs-Magic deal for Joe Harris are top 55 protected. Cavs sent about 1M cash, save 3M in taxes, salary & get roster spot"
Anyone hear if they have someone they have their eye on to go after right now?

Don't get how they save 3M in salary and taxes when Harris makes 845K this year and 980K next year.

This. They have a free roster spot and, I believe, an exception with the deadline coming up soon.like_that;1775157 wrote:They must have something up their sleeves.

Eh yeah its definitely a move that doesn't matter much unless they are planning on making a move with another team.like_that;1775157 wrote:They must have something up their sleeves.
The reality is, Dan Gilbert isn't going to lose any sleep at night over $3M so I don't think it's purely a salary dump. My guess is they are going to trade the exception or Movgoz for player and some fillers.

Decent game tonight. Cavs moving ball well in 4th but defense not moving quick enough

Mavs 2 terrible 3 shots but crazy bounces off rim for a 3rd and they of course drain it.
7 guys in double figures for Cavs but not getting enough stops
