Have they won a series yet this year? It feels like that is a good next step to trying to at least attain mediocrity at this point.

They won the opening series. That's it I believe.
Salazar has been pretty damn amazing. We forget how young he is, and the change-up the last 2 outings has elevated his game to another level. Hopefully he keeps perfecting it.

He is averaging over 100 pitchers per start. The good thing is Francona hasn't pushed him past 6 innings really. Anymore than twice through the order and he usually gets lit up.Laley23;1728057 wrote:They won the opening series. That's it I believe.

Not true in the slightest the last 2 times out. He owned the Royals (of course, after he have up 3 runs in the 1st lol).Glory Days;1728111 wrote:He is averaging over 100 pitchers per start. He has only been throwing the change for like 3 starts, and they have gotten progressively better. He had 9 Ks with it today, and threw it 85% for a strike. That's tremendous.

I am going off mostly from last year. this year he hasn't gone more than 7 innings, and been getting a lot of Ks, so he isn't facing batters really more than twice. Hopefully his change up continues to keep batters off balance enough.Laley23;1728118 wrote:Not true in the slightest the last 2 times out. Who is going to start the Cardinals thread? Anybody not started one? Need some new blood to shake it up a bit.
