Haven't watched any of todays game but am shocked to hear this. Just doesn't sound like the Reds at all.sherm03;1725681 wrote:2nd and 3rd with no outs in the 4th and the Reds don't score.

I know it's not a save opp, but why not just bring Chappy in?

Did anyone get the stopwatch out on Billy's homerun sprint?
Glad to see Cingrani get a clutch grounder there to get the first 2 outs. I'm cool with Cingrani pitching here over Chapman. But I think he's a little off since he isn't throwing as much as he could be.

Why not Leake get the shutout....97 non-max speed pitches and most all stress free without runners
Regardless....good win.

After the game, Leake said it was his decision not to go back out. Said he felt a little tight.Ironman92;1725797 wrote:Why not Leake get the shutout....97 non-max speed pitches and most all stress free without runners

That lessons my hate for Price a little.

Save his arm for when he is not needed..........UNLESS he hadnt pitch in awhile and needed to stay sharpwildcats20;1725752 wrote:I know it's not a save opp, but why not just bring Chappy in?

I really enjoy watching Leake pitch. Think he is a poor mans greg maddux and I think gets better and better each year.
Another reason why I love to watch baseball.......you can toss out a power guy like Cueto and watch him dominate, and then a guy like Leake who is masterful.

Chappy's arm doesn't need "saved".thavoice;1726004 wrote:Save his arm for when he is not needed..........UNLESS he hadnt pitch in awhile and needed to stay sharp
He throws 30(at the very most) pitches. He's only seen action in 11 of 22 games.

How many closers see time in half of their games?
I would rather have him ready in back to back to back games when it is on the line then pitching him last night in a 5-0 game at the time.
Ya would be bitching if he pitched last night in a 5-0 game, and then had to come in tonight and then maybe unavailable game three beacuse of going back to back.

He went 19 days before seeing action on the 28th.
Again. He doesn't need to be saved.

He pitched April 28th, 27, 24, 22, 21, 14,12, 10,9,8, and the 6th.
He went from the 14th and then not again until the 21st in the 16-10 game...most likely to get work since he had been off so long.

Lol I have no idea where I got that from.
Either way, his arm doesn't need to be saved.
