The show was unwatchable when it first aired, no way a remake will be any different. No name actors desperate for some fame and money.

Many people liked it. We watch it when it is on, b/c you never have to worry about questionable material being aired on it, unlike most of the shit on TV today. Tough to watch anything with a 5 and 9 year old.
