It's all over the news down here. Of course every report is of a white cop shooting a black guy, yet if it is ever a black cop shooting a black suspect the race is never given. There is no justification that this has anything to do with race yet.

I'm still trying to figure out how he was stopped for a broken tail light but they weren't by a road/ car in that video.

From what I read, Scott ran from the scene because he feared going to jail for back child support. I think, this grassy area is where the officer caught up to him and initially tased him

I'm always one to side with the cops, but there's no defending the officer in this case.

People are saying "Well if there was no camera, he would be claimed innocent".

Yeah except forensic evidence would make it very hard to explain how an officer feared for his life while he shot an unarmed guy running away from in the back about 30 feet away. Just another race baiting story from the media except this time the deceased has my sympathy and full support.

Many wrong don't make it right...
Let count the wrongs and maybe add some:
Guy get out from his car ... Officer should have never let that happen ( where was back up)
Out of his car and then was tasered ... I think not, maybe tried but missed (where is back up)
Guy takes off running ... (where is back up)
Catches up with him and does bring him to the ground .... Standard operation run you're go to the ground (where is back)
Guy take off running again ..... How far can a fat ass run (where back up)

From the start this was not going to end well for both.....

I'm not defending the officer but here is a situation where different protocol should be used....

In today society and with the disrespect for the law and those the enforce the law, the brashness of criminals, minor offenders and crazy behavior ...
Police departments and Communities needs to understand the potential issue police protection and enforcement, the cost will be high but two Offices per car patrolling is a must. Another option is back up with every traffic stop…. Until the situation is under control.
Third option would be volunteered, trained Civilians Police Assistant Observers. CPAO
Licensed CPAO individuals, that monitors police, ems, fire calls, when in an area shows up to assist the situation as an observer ( CCW trained, ex military, cop, fire or ems) only to assist if required… Sound crazy but the more people in our society that are will to get involved the less crime and less situation like this will happen.

One other point: How many time have we hear this ; ran because feared going go to jail for some other meaningless crime… Time the legal system start to clean up the minor crime and make the punishment harsh, quick and effective.
Back child support …. This should have been handled long before someone is dead.. and another for murder.

This. It was terrible watching the video. I just don't understand why someone would do such a thing.

Just like any other Racist Media hype riot/rally the main narrative of the event is mute (many in the crowd of protestors could careless) the justification has been set let the looting and destruction begin.
A few have good intention to change for the better but outside instigator will turn something that could have a positive effect on the community, law enforcement and method of enforcement into a travesty, creating more separation of race relations.

Murder is the call from the Black crowds that will gather via the social Media persuasion

The same crowd justices’ persecution is what Black Civil Rights was all about. The fight for Rights under a court of law, to be deemed a civilize and to be judge by the legal system of America… but now let just throw that out the window, let the media claim guilty, and have crowd follow suit to influence justice.

So much for history and what happen in a lawless society..

This cop was going to kill someone, and if it wasn't this guy, it would have been someone else. The cop did not have to do what he did from the start of the chase. He knew who the guy was, he had his car, and they could have simply gone to the guy's home and picked him up with all the back up he needed.

This was a pretty clear case of second degree murder.

There is nothing to protest here....this was a bad cop who murdered someone, and he is being brought up on charges..

Riots generally stem from no charges being filed. Not the case here.

This looks really bad, cop should be held accountable.

Exactly why every cop should wear POV cameras that they can't turn off and can't remove.

Probably not. This guy will be charged cuz he is a jackass. The ferguson cop was not charged because that victim was deservedly killed but the dumbass population disagreed. Because everyone agrees here it will be a non issue.

I'll also add that the suspect was a retard and deserved jail time, but straight murder was obviously not warranted.
