Did you not read his statement?

He admitted to shooting him in the back. He said Scott stole his taser and was afraid for his life. He planted the taser by his dead body. Everything he said happened, except that Scott didn't steal his taser.
In this particular case, I believe the officer is in the wrong and should be punished according to the law. This is a non-issue; the fact that this is national news proves to me this is part of the media agenda to shove non-issues down our throat to appease their SJW following. Intelligent people, like myself, will see this and get fed up with the constantly dick being shoved down our throat while the liberal trash will come to the rescue on a non-issue and try to take the moral high ground.

...agree again. I don't know why people are acting as if justice isn't being carried out.

edit....agreed with sleeper's post.

I disagree. I would be willing to bet a good chunk of money that the level of mathematical understanding correlates highly with income level. Not every smart person is good at math, but you can be certain that almost every dumb person is terrible at math.

If we made people take a math test in order to vote, this country would be better off. Now cue the real racists who say having a math test in order to vote will hurt minorities and women because apparently liberals think minorities and women are stupid and can't do math.

The dude doesn't give a shit about his kids. $18k in child support owed yet he drives a Mercedes.

That's white people's fault though.

Hyperbole aside sleeper does bring up good points. I don't see the difficulty teaching people not to fuck with cops. I knew from an early age to obey cops. The black friends I have are educated and disciplined. It's funny how they have never had any real issues.

Those protestors that have been arrested over this incident. The man has been appropriately charged with murder.

The problem is its easy to comply with cops when you don't have to deal with them. You, I, and Sleeper don't deal with cops. If you're harassed constantly, you get tired of dealing with cops b/c a lot of times its unfair that you're stopped in the first place.

So you'd probably understand why it's hard to respect someone always fucking with you b/c they can.

In light of the recent deaths that have been publicised it would seem that being tired of dealing with cops would never overide the willingess to live and thereby ultimately be the deciding factor in comply with an officers commands...no matter how "unfair" they might seem.

Why don't black people document these grievances and file charges/civil suit against the police department?

Or maybe just stop committing crimes? In the case of Eric Garner, he was constantly harassed because he kept breaking the law. My apologies for having zero sympathy or glorifying idiots who break the law constantly and then cry about being harassed by officers of the law.

Yeah, I guess it probably did come off that way. I was just commenting in general on the whole scenario and how folks have been responding.

I'm not sure why politics has anything to do with commission of a crime, yet it does. Some one is either guilty or not based on evidence and it would be wrong to base a decision on anything else. Politics enetrs the equation by the perception of the viewer. Conservatives trust in the system to deliver appropriate results, whether it be the justice system, the free market system, etc. Liberals have no such trust...the justice sysytem is racist and flawed...government must level the playing field economically, etc.

LOL. Conservatives trust in the system, as long as the people in charge of the system are the ones they personally want. Because when I go to the poli forum here, I don't seem to see all that much trust being shown by site conservatives.

But...nice try on the blanket generalization. It may have taken a full half-second to see through it and start laughing.

Right because liberals have zero say in who they want in charge of the system.

I'm curious though, do liberals want to live in a world where someone is allowed to run away from cops? As long as I am unarmed and running away, I should be able to do whatever I want? This is a stupid precedent. OBEY THE FUCKING COPS.

The logic doesn't follow; this is about dividing the rational with the irrational using emotional response and 1950's mentality. Anyone who supports this narrative is the trash of the Earth.

I want to live in a world where running from the cops isn't punishable by immediate death. That's ok, right?

It's isn't, that's why this cop is being charged with murder.

Sorry, but the only reason I sympathize with the victim is that he was given no warning before the shots were fired. In my opinion, running from a cop is the dumbest thing on the fucking planet. Who's to say he wasn't running back to his car to get a weapon? Or maybe he was running to his car to start a high speed chase endangering the lives of others? Who knows? Maybe just obey the cop and stop justifying breaking the law and running from police officers.

I don't disagree with any of this. You won't find me in that situation, but it happens. See where I mentioned Cops. It happens all the time and is handled appropriately.

Walter Scott is a piece of shit, no doubt, but that cop was a trigger happy p*ssy.

Agreed. In this situation, I think the officer is guilty based on the evidence that I have seen. However, the key for me is the how the event was handled, not simply "OMG HE WAS SHOT IN THE BACK WHILE RUNNING AWAY!@!3". If the officer had given an order to stop and get on the ground multiple times and then made a decision to fire the weapon, my tune would change dramatically. I would support the officer and instantly be labeled a racist because I'm white and am siding with a white cop.
