Hit a soft sand wedge to clear him safely, put it two club lengths to the left of the cup and land it about half way betwee the gator and the pin. Should be an easy up-and-down.

I've played in Florida where they have signs to watch out for gators. Never actually encountered any though. But I would probably pull out my camera and take a picture and leave the gator be. He's not bothering anyone.

My boyfriend was in Orlando to golf last week and said they saw a few small gators, but never got super close to them.
