She is the George H.W. Bush of the dems. There won't be much enthusiasm among the dem base but people will still vote for her even if it's not 08 like turnout.ZWICK 4 PREZ;1781979 wrote:I would have agreed a month ago. I get a sense that even a large portion of the dem base is tired of Hillary though. I can guarantee one thing.... The party won't rally around a Hillary nomination. She won't win the general.

Middle of the road guy who wants his country kept safe and doesn't want to be taxed the shit out of - sounds like Obama is the guy for you! He made the Bush tax cuts permanent for you (unless you make over $400k per year) and cut your payroll taxes in half for two years and has kept the country safe. Not to mention he passed a tax on freeloaders who get free rides in the ambulance and go to the emergency room without insurance.BR1986FB;1782161 wrote:At this point, I don't know what to think.
I'm more in the middle In my beliefs and I'm a pretty simple man. Don't tax the shit out of me for a bunch of worthless freeloaders and keep my country safe. I don't give a shit if you smoke as much weed as you want (legalize it) and I don't give a shit about abortion.
What turns me off are lying pieces of shit (Hillary) and whack jobs (Bernie & Trump). I can't stand the overzealous extreme liberals who will only vote Democrat because "well, I'm liberal!" Can't stand the righteous over the top Bible thumping Republicans either.
Just keep my country safe, which I don't think Trump can do and I KNOW Hillary/Bernie CAN'T do....and don't tax the shit out of me, which I KNOW Bernie will do.

Since he can't run, I'd say the closest of those remaining to BR's criteria would be Gov. Kasich.BoatShoes;1782924 wrote:Middle of the road guy who wants his country kept safe and doesn't want to be taxed the shit out of - sounds like Obama is the guy for you!

He is likely the best choice of those who remain, for several reasons.

^^^ I've tried to watch the Dem debates too, but end up turning it off and shaking my head. They are on another planet, but in all fairness, I'm sure that the situation is true in reverse. the one thing that I have noticed is how Hillary is continually shifting her positions in response to Sanders forcefully articulating his views. She seems to have no convictions, except what seems to be the popular idea of the moment.

You couldn't be more wrong. This country is more vulnerable (safety-wise) than it's ever been, imo. Leaders from other countries (especially Putin) know Barry is a p#ssy. Plus he's encouraged these "freeloaders" if you ask me. That's why I think Sanders would be the worst case for POTUS.BoatShoes;1782924 wrote:Middle of the road guy who wants his country kept safe and doesn't want to be taxed the shit out of - sounds like Obama is the guy for you! Are we less safe than 1812, 1862, 1942, throughout the Cold War, and right after 9/11? I doubt it.
Is Russia more likely to launch a nuclear strike now, or in 1983 during Able Archer?
Come on guys, we are still extremely safe in comparison to other points in our history. Perspective folks, perspective.

Sorry, should've been more specific...."than it's ever been since I've been paying attention to politics/world news." World leaders know Barry is a doormat. He draws his "line in the sand" and Putin takes his foot and erases it, chuckling at him. He will leave this country a mess (internationally) for the next POTUS.ptown_trojans_1;1783064 wrote:Ever been? I sigh at comments like this.

She has one conviction - "I deserve to be president". All others are flexible. While I don't agree with him, at least Bernie stands for something.HitsRus;1783003 wrote:^^^ I've tried to watch the Dem debates too, but end up turning it off and shaking my head. Fair point. I disagree somewhat, but I get your point. Eviscerated? Look man, the policies are not great, especially Syria. But, other than HW Bush, show me a recent President that has had a good policy that worked?QuakerOats;1783072 wrote:His policies were just eviscerated in the middle east ........... worst potus ever, by a wide margin.

I don't know about worst "ever" because I'm not 200+ years old but he's the worst I can recall. I lean a bit conservative but even I thought the second Bush was a crap sandwich and Barry has exceeded his (second Bush's) ineptitude.ptown_trojans_1;1783075 wrote:Fair point. I took it as "worst in my lifetime," not worst of all time. I am young, but I agree when it comes to foreign policy. I feel less safe than I do when Bush was in office. Kinda hard to make that "all time" determination when nobody has been alive for all of the presidents.BR1986FB;1783090 wrote:I don't know about worst "ever" because I'm not 200+ years old but he's the worst I can recall. I had a friend tell me one time that Obama is a top 5 president of all time, and this was near the beginning of Obama's 6th year. LOL. Obama supporters are the worst, they treat him like he is their MJ or LeBron. Bernie supporters have the same characteristics, which make them insufferable as well.

Upon what evidence do you base your assertion that Obama is a p#ssy or encouraged freeloading when he has literally passed a tax on freeloading? My guess is your evidence doesn't go beyond "Well, he's kind of skinny fat and looks like a guy who does cardio instead of heavy deadlifts and he's a farking librul."BR1986FB;1783063 wrote:You couldn't be more wrong. What evidence is there that we are more vulnerable safety wise? The only safety-related problems in recent years have involved U.S. citizens killing people while using their second amendment rights.
Again, my guess is you just think Obama looks beta and that's the best you got whereas Putin looks "alpha" while his country collapses.

Macho Putin's country is going to crap while he bombs ISIS hoping to prop up a failed regime for the sole hope of maintaining influence in Iran while they buy fleets of airplanes from the west. What a P#ssy ole Barry is.

But the economic slump is now starting to bite. Real wages, or salaries adjusted for inflation, a common gauge of how working people feel the economic slump, dropped 6.3 percent in January, compared with the year before.New automobile sales are down a staggering 40 percent, in a country that was recently seen as sailing on a trajectory of growth that would surpass Germany as Europe’s biggest car market. With fewer goods to move, railroads are shunting rolling stock onto sidings and canceling new orders.
