The current 5 members of the PAC heard presentations from Northwest, Orrville, Loudonville, and Canton South about filling the 3 vacancies. Vote to take place this Wednesday. I could see the league taking Northwest immediately to fill Timken's spot. But do they take 2 more and go back to 8 teams...or just pick one more and go back to the original PAC-7?? Thoughts?

Will be nice to see Orrville finally happy in a conference.

Indeed it has...atleast in football. But then again...everyone who has played us in football these last few years are feeling happy and enjoying what it feels like to FINALLY beat us! :RpS_flapper:CCRolly;1709370 wrote:Well now...playing Orrville right now has made us very happy.

The day Orrville joins the PAC, is the day that RTR dies.

Orrville is simply a shadow of what they once were, once upon a time, they were title contenders every single year. Even the years of the Skibo Sims rapes. They are simply just another team in Wayne county.

Hey now...no reason to go there! Massillon loved us enough to take 2 of our QB's over the years!skank;1709432 wrote:...Even the years of the Skibo Sims rapes..

To keep the thread relevant to the question, I would likely put my money on seven..... We will see.

Wouldnt 7 make it a bit harder to schedule?
We used to have an odd of teams and it became tougher and tougher to find an OOC game each week of the season.

It sure seems like it would be harder to find a week 4 football opponent with only 7 teams in the conference. However, the PAC did it before and the old AOL used to be just 7 teams. Just seems more logical to keep it at 8...time will tell.thavoice;1709477 wrote:Wouldnt 7 make it a bit harder to schedule?

or a week 5, 6, 7, 8, 9 and 10...........one team needs an OOC game each week. Our league found that members played a couple of the same OOC teams who were not affiliated with a conference often that it almost seemed like another de facto team in the league.
Go with 8 teams...

Don't get too cocky rider, I know of more than a couple of kids that Mo Tipton tried to lure to Orrville. He wasn't successful all the time but he did succeed more than once.

Not being cocky...just standing up for a former Red Rider who really didn't need to be brought up on this thread. I know all about the days Mo was lerking in the shadows. Smitty was there too... As was most any coach from any school in those days. It still happens today but the OHSAA is watching with a much clearer microscope!

And devoe Torrence really shouldn't have been brought into any of the Massillon threads....but he was. And devoe wasn't even indicted let alone do time like skibo.Old Rider;1709545 wrote:Not being cocky...just standing up for a former Red Rider who really didn't need to be brought up on this thread. You always liked to jump on the bash Massillon at any cost wagon, now you don't think I should have brought it up?

Who is Devoe Torrence? And why are you posting on an Orrville thread? You must be bored? I know that I would be bored if I were a Massillon fan. Not much going on in tiger town...turning coaches over like stones in a creek and can't win a title even after dropping a division...I would be bored too!! Seriously...who is Devoe Torrence?

This isn't an orrville thread.
This is a PAC thread, ya know, the league you're trying to join so you can possibly win more than 7 games in a 3 year span.

Now thats funny!! So Orrville fans shouldn't post on this thread dealing with a league we are possibly joining? And then he throws the 7 wins in 3 years at us...stay classy!chiefy jones;1709690 wrote:This isn't an orrville thread.

If Wednesday is the day that the vote takes place I have some questions...
1.) is it a public vote? Meaning are the schools going to be public how they vote?
2.)Will they announce the vote tomorrow?
Still don't see Orrville getting in and if the votes are not public find it even less likely. We will see.

Not sure if it is public....but won't be hard to find out. I am sure the word will get out by late tomorrow evening IF the vote is taken tomorrow! Need atleast a 4-1 vote to be approved...rrfan;1709708 wrote:If Wednesday is the day that the vote takes place I have some questions...

I said no such thing, you're free to post anywhere you want. As a matter of fact, you're the one who asked me why I'm posting on, what you called an orrville thread.Old Rider;1709703 wrote:Now thats funny!! As far as staying classy, read post 17 where you were pretty hard on Massillon. Again, no dog in the fight but if you're going to dish it out, you should probably learn how to take it. Good luck to orrville this year.
