Here is the scouting report from Adam Caplan of Scout...6 is the best, so it's NOT pretty:

Dan LeFevour/Central Michigan/North

Arm Strength: 2.25

Comments: Because of his lack of arm strength, LeFevour came up short on too many passes this week in practice. He pushes the ball out of his hands instead of throwing it.

Accuracy: 3.0

Comments: He aimed the ball a little bit this week instead of throwing it. His accuracy was up and down this week.

Pocket Awareness/Movement: 3.25

Comments: LeFevour moves around well, but he doesn't always see what's going on around him.

Mechanics: 2.75

Comments: Consistent, good footwork was an issue for him. He also tends to push the ball instead of just throwing it normally.

Numerical Grade: 2.81

Comments: LeFevour just doesn't have the arm strength that will gain notice in any setting. That's going to push him down draft boards. He needs to have his throwing motion adjusted.

Round Target: 6-7

Comments: LeFevour projects to go off the board late in the draft. He simply lacks adequate arm strength that NFL scouts covet.

and THAT is why they went after Wallace and not Smith. A lot cheaper to give up a 7th rounder next year than a 5th rounder this year for similar players.

^^^I'd say that does sound like a bunch of weaksauce, but I don't put alot of stock in some of this shit. These scouts are smart may they do miss quite often w/ these "late round" predictions ala Tom Brady for one. I am no way saying Lefevour is the next Brady, but just somebody I am somewhat high on. He may not have the best mechanics out of college, but maybe a little grooming and we could have a diamond in the rough perhaps. I know...wishful thinking for Cleveland.

Delhomme is no different than DA, an interception machine.

^^^^I absolutely DO NOT understand this, other than he's gonna come cheaper than DA. They can't really sign him, can they? I'd rather have DA back. At least he's still in his 20's..lol. This will be the 1st deal, if he signs, I don't understand.

I will say this.

Remember Warner in NYG and he looked like shit. Went to Arizona and he was amazing.

My question is....how the hell does Delhomey fit the WCO??? There is not one thing about it that makes sense.

Honestly, I think Holmgren and Heckert are checking out Delhomme to see if they think anything is left in the tank, but there is little to no chance he gets signed.

The plan seems to be to find a veteran QB to go with Wallace so the team can be competitive now, and then look for a young QB that can be developed for the long term -- whether that guy is drafted or acquired via a trade.

The "prominent" secret free agent that I was talking about at the start of free agency that they were hoping to bring in was Delhomme...woo-freakin-hoo

Nope. Just found out about 10 minutes ago.

Jake Delhomme 3-4 years ago I'd say "hell yes." Delhomme now is an interception machine that hasn't regained confidence after a 5 pick performance in the playoffs.

You're making this sound like he's set to be our sure fire starting QB. Yeah!!!!!! Take that DA!!! Man, I just puked a bit in my mouth.

Would it make sense to bring him in to backup Wallace? Stranger things have happened but I doubt he'd come here to be a backup.

If the Brown select Delhomme it's almost positive they'll take a QB of the Future in this draft to let them learn the system. If not this year, than almost 100% next year the first pick would be a QB.

I would take Quinn 7 days out of 7 and twice on Sundays over Delhomme. Delhomme is now nothing more than Anderson with a weaker arm. I would also take Wallace over Delhomme. There is no reason that this team should bring in Delhomme for anything other than a backup.

Initially I was told the the "prominent" secret RFA was Delhomme. Just found out this morning that it is in fact CB Richard Marshall from the Carolina Panthers. The source initially said Delhomme last night. That haven't set up a meeting with Marshall yet.

Being a 2nd round tender and that the Panthers don't really want to lose him, the Browns would likely have to really overpay for him. He would be a nice get, but the asking price will probably be too high.

Ahhh...but what you fail to realize is that the Panthers were interested in DA & Quinn with Quinn being their preference. I could see a possible trade here.

If that's the case, then hell yeah!!! If the Browns pull off cutting DA and trading Quinn in a deal that brings in Marshall in the same week, I will offically never question Holmgren on anything.

Just curious, How much do you think Holmgren is doing, and how much do you think it is Heckert. I've been under the impression that Holmgren is letting Heckert make the trade calls...
