You don't trade for a guy like Wallace if he is just going to back up Quinn or Anderson. They would have traded for a third stringer because Quinn and Anderson barely have the talent of bad 2nd stringers.

FYI I called the Seneca Wallace thing 12/30/09, 9 days after Holmgren took the job.

I laughed at you then. Today I laugh at the Browns. But Holmgren knows what he's doing. Right?

Right?

I'm going to kind of be a dick here...but that isn't exactly going out on a limb. There are only so many WCO QBs out there and Wallace would be the obvious choice for a transitional QB until they can groom someone else to be the permanent guy.

Apparently they couldn't find anyone willing to part with a 7th round pick for Anderson. What a difference two years makes.

The last year that Holmgren coached the Seahawks, Wallace stepped in for a hurt Hasselbeck and what did he do? Played well and didn't turn the ball over! He has a solid arm and is accurate. Why wouldn't Holmgren want him in Cleveland?

I personally feel like his biggest liability is his size. 5'11 and that is why he hasn't been picked up before. The guy is better then what you guys give him credit though!

Good to see Anderson out!

Why would anyone give up a 7th? They had to know the Browns wouldn't pay him the roster bonus and he'd be a free agent

to be fair to anderson, his contract scared more teams off than the ability (or lack thereof) of him to play QB.

Chalk that one up in the L column of Phil Savage along with giving up our 2nd rounder for Corey Williams

Name me a better receiving corp than the Steelers have right now. With Randal El and Battles as your 4 and 5 receivers, that's pretty damn good.
