Carolina up to 12 in both polls. Now I'm really interested to see where the committee puts them.

I actually think UNC is a really good team and need to be up in the top 10.

If they want to call any part of the pylon, the pylon should be all on the green, not all on the white.

They are definitely a good team, I just think the early loss and the 2 FCS games are gonna bite them in the ass.

But there might not be a team playing better right now. 125-52 the last 2 games.

It is funny for the last few years everyone has talked about how they doubt a RB will be able to win a Heisman again bc of the numbers QB's are putting up.

Now it looks like we will have a season where a QB is not even invited to NYC.

Does seem though that because defenses are much leaner now and better equipped to face the spread than ever before that we're seeing a move back to more of a power rushing game to counter against smaller defensive players

Oklahoma will have beaten TCU, OSU, and Baylor.
Stanford hardly drops, and is just outside of the top 10 at #11 now. Navy up to #16 and USC creeps back into the top 25 at #24. ND's schedule doesn't take as big of a hit as it could have and they hang on to the #4 spot.

If Navy and USC win out, and ND beats Stanford (provided Stanford wins next week), I don't see how anyone besides an undefeated Oklahoma State jumps them.

Agreed. It's pretty clear the committee will not put a big 12 team in unless they run the table. They simply just don't respect the big 12 at all

Michigan ranked above Utah eh? Makes sense considering Utah beat them and they have identical records.

Also maybe I'm old school but how the hell can you have Alabama and Notre Dame above undefeated teams this late in the season? Just terrible it needs to be

1 Clemson
2 Ohio State
3 Iowa
4 Oklahoma State

5 Alabama
6 Notre Dame

Heels moved up to 17 this week. Just need to keep winning.

winning out does nothing for them IMO. Two FCS opponents will keep them out.

When will you learn?

The committee doesn't just look at stats and records and line them up accordingly.

They are very subjective in their placement of teams.

I don't disagree. But no one will have a better win than them if they beat Clemson in the ACC Champ.

I think they started too low. Had they been ranked in the first release, they could have had a chance.

Iowa hasn't played anyone, and Oklahoma State has only played one good team. It's like in the OHSAA playoffs when a team goes undefeated and gets an 8 seed because they haven't played a decent team all year long.

With the line of thinking that you described, how come you didn't put Houston above the 2 one loss teams listed since they are undefeated?

There's no reason to be upset by this at all. These 6 will work themselves out. If Oklahoma State wins out, they will jump Notre Dame and be in. Iowa and OSU cannot both go undefeated. So one will knock out the other and the undefeated team will be in the top 4. It's really not that bad.

It's pretty ridiculous. Especially when you look at their resume. Their quality wins as of this week are against #15 LSU and #25 Wisconsin and their loss came to #22 Ole Miss. By comparison, ND's quality wins as of this week are against #16 Navy and #24 USC and their loss came to #1 Clemson. Considering nobody in the world believes ND should be the #2 team in the country, it's hard to believe that a team with a slightly less impressive resume is solidly in the #2 spot.

Or even better; how can you have a team that hasn't won anything in 50 years and is a annual little brother to FSU be ahead of a team that is not only undefeated, the defending national champion, on a 20+ win streak, and has only lost 3 games in the last 4 years?

If OSU wins out, they will jump Clemson which will set up a ND/OSU semi-final. I already have my popcorn ready.

They have to have an SEC team in the top 4. It's the rules or something.

A little love for the Mids. They are having a special year in Annapolis as they've now move to #16. This is a pretty cool snapshot of senior day on the field and in the locker room.

Why would the CFP jeopardize the integrity of the playoffs by doing that? What do they have to gain from it? ESPN is the only one that gains from having an SEC team in the playoffs. The NCAA already made their money. They have no reason to rig the system to get an SEC team in. /sleeper'd
