What I think she is getting at is that there is a difference between having an opinion on X and having a justified, reasonable opinion on X.

This thread shows a typical stunt the right wing extremists pull. The topic is Bruce Jenner. Then someone goes on a rant about how our society is being ruined by transvestites. That poster slips in a line about Arizona ROTC cadets being made to wear high heels.

I thought that looked fishy and sure enough it is. The actual story (if you can sift through the right wing aluminum foil websites) is that there was an event to raise awareness of sexual assualt. One of the games was a voluntary 1 mile run in high heels. It was done to bring levity and fun to a social event. No one was forced to do anything.

I highlight it because this kind of bs goes unchecked all the time. Taking something completely benign and totally unrelated to the topic at hand (in this case Bruce Jenner), skewing it inaccurately as some sort of example of moral depravity. That's moron juice for morons in my book.

It is a shame that there is no cost for stupid predictions that don't come to pass because you would be bankrupt and maybe have an incentive to reevaluate why you believe the sky is always going to fall for any number of reasons but never does.
