Don't want to get your ass kicked? Then don't allow it.

"People shouldn't feel sorry for my team," Chung said. "They should feel sorry for his team, which isn't learning the game the right way."
If you're on a team losing games by 150 points, you haven't learned anything about basketball either.

It seems the only sport now a days where nobody bitches about "running up" the score is wrestling. Got your ass kicked? Enjoy that humble pie little guy.

Is that possible? I thought that once you hit a certain point differential that a technical fall would be awarded.

If you let up in wrestling you get your ass kicked....no other sport does it "hurt" to let up

They don't have a tech-fall in basketball.

Hope this helps.

I don't know or care about this story. Having spent some time ere, I would say San Bernadino has a legitimate claim on being the white trash capital of the universe.

If this is happening, then the coach/school is scheduling the wrong team.

If this is a mandatory game (tournament, league, etc.), then as a coach, I'm doing some things differently -- play other players, try something new, etc. Maybe the coach did that and still ended up the same? Have to figure out a way to get the best out of a game like this (for both teams).

True, but in wrestling, if you want, you can take down your opponent, let him up, take him down, let him up, take him down, let him up and go for a, say, 28-12 win where you just exhibit complete dominance without ever really trying to go for a pin (or pin him after getting 12 or so takedowns). Which is essentially "running up the score", as you're basically using a lesser opponent as a practice dummy.

You'd think that with your support of Graham and with how badly their best kids tend to outclass opponents up to and including the state level, that you'd know this, but....yeah.

Not to mention the tech fall was mainly put in place to speed up duals and tournaments (as well to award team points for dominating wins) more so than worrying about a kid getting his feelz hurt. And yes what you just described is very humiliating for any wrestler, but no one cries about it.

Said, as we already know is a moron.

I would agree that going into this game, everyone knew that it was going to end up that way. The coach knew he was going to win by a lot and ran his starters and full court pressed up by 90 points. The guy is a total asshat for that and will lose respect and credibility of his players by doing this.

Good god this. Unless the other team is full of arm less girls, to only score 2 pts is fucking pathetic. I'd be embarrassed to coach a team that gave that little of fucks.

A bigger shame for the losing team would be the superior team to obviously quit any attempt to score in order to save some parents feels from being hurt. Kids get this sadly some parents don't.

At the end of the day....its on the players to score but the asshat coach didnt need to press up 90. And the jv kids should of been in before the 3rd. He made some bad choices.

The more I think about this, I still say Dale Chung should be the one suspended. You're consistently losing to teams by 70 points then you should find another job.
