You shouldnt, in the sense it wont make you enjoy or hate the movie anymore or less etc.

But, I pay attention, because, by and large, I enjoy the films which are nominated. Usually disagree with the winners though lol

Per the usual, only one of those I would even care to watch, American Sniper. Of course, the local theatre wont have it this weekend so I must drive an hour to see it.

I cannot remember a year where I have seen zero of the best picture nominees. Probably more a reflection on how little i go to the movies than anything else.

I've seen Whiplash (loved it) and will be seeing American Sniper, Birdman and The Imitation Game in the next week or so. I try to see as many of the best picture films as possible, and I usually do enjoy them.

I dont even think the local theatre has even shown any of those movies!

Sniper will be there next week as it just comes out tomorrow.

I haven't seen any of these movies either, though I thought most of them looked good.
