I've enjoyed this in the past. Haven't watched this season. Has it been entertaining?

The year she won was a weak field. I thought she was vile and abrasive, but Trump clearly favored her. The show is pure entertainment, and she certainly provided that.

I've been impressed with a few of the celebs (particularly Trace Atkins). Still, I wonder how much help they get behind the scenes, as in how much of the "projects" are actually scripted.

It's always a "weak" field. There's usually only 2-3 contestants that you know right off the bat that will have a legitimate chance of winning it all.

Celebrity Apprentice 1

Piers Morgan
Trace Adkins
Stephen Baldwin

Celebrity Apprentice 2

Joan Rivers
Annie Duke

Celebrity Apprentice 3

Bret Michaels
Holly Robinson Peete
Sharon Osbourne

Celebrity Apprentice 4

John Rich
Marlee Matlin
Meat Loaf
Star Jones

Celebrity Apprentice 5 <-- this was probably the toughest season

Arsenio Hall
Clay Aiken
Paul Teutul
Lisa Lampanelli
Dee Snider
Penn Jillette
Michael Andretti

Celebrity Apprentice 6

Trace Adkins
Penn Jillette
Lisa Rinna
Lil Jon
Stephen Baldwin
Dee Snider
Bret Michaels (Bret was pretty washed up tho by then)

Just like this year, I think the only celebrities that actually have a chance/shot at winning are:
Geraldo Rivera
Ian Ziering
Vivica A. Fox

Haven't watched this season and probably won't....I think the really only impressive ones (in no order)
1) Penn
2) Bret Michaels
3) Trace Adkins
4) Lil Jon
5) Piers Morgan
6) John Rich
7) Maybe Marlee Matlin and Arsenio

That's out of like 90 people, so I guess you're right about it usually being a weak field. Although we usually don't know enough about the contestants beforehand to handicap the winner, only the schmucks you have to assume will are there for comedic value (Rodman, TO, Gary Busey).

The reason I stopped watching after the Joa Rivers season is because in the finale it was a challenge to hold an event and raise money for charity. It was supposed to be about the event, the people you could get to attend, and the amount of money raised.

Well Annie Duke raised about a 5-1 margin and had the bigger named celebs at the event. Joan Rivers throughout the season put down Annie because she was a poker player and was nasty to her. In the end Trump went with her because they were friends not who did the best job.
