The video says when he was diagnosed. I forget the year. He had an appendectomy and they found a tumor. 2011 maybe?Ironman92;1692657 wrote:He had it at least once before the decision. Had it 3 damn times.

As a cancer survivor myself, he is an inspiration to me. I was lucky enough to have mine caught early and been free for 5 years now.
People like him who continued to do what he loved and not let cancer change who they are really help people who struggle with this terrible disease.

I'll be buying either the Jim Valvano or Be Brave yogurt from Homage today to help fight cancer

That sucks to hear. I'd heard he was on a leave or something for a bit, but didn't realize he was so terminal over the past weeks/months.

RIP to Stu. I shouted a Boo-Yah! When Dallas got that last stop. He was one of the few guys I fell in love watching on sportscenter as a kid and made me grow up loving ESPN. I don't think I've really watched sportscenter in like 5 years though. For anyone who never saw it here is the Stuart Scott piece from last years ESPY's.

Olberman just did a really nice tribute to Stu. After the break, his airing Stu's first broadcast in its entirety.

Mike Hall just pretty much killed it on BTN with his tribute.

Hall got his start on Dream Job IIRC. Scott was the host of it.Laley23;1693029 wrote:Mike Hall just pretty much killed it on BTN with his tribute.

He did. That was very much part of it. A good 5-7 minutes of memories/eulogy, at least it seemed.sportswizuhrd;1693032 wrote:Hall got his start on Dream Job IIRC. Scott was the host of it.
Did you know, Toledo ABCs Dave Holmes won the 2nd season of Dream Job??
