When Hamilton Township won the Mid-State League Buckeye football league championship last season, I got on the PA microphone and yelled, "Whoa mama - break out a can o' Spam and fire up the grill. We're gonna party tonight!".
Could you tell me how the event led up to you getting "on the PA" for that?

Being the PA announcer for the game may have contributed to it, LOL.

I don't normally get creative or go off the deep end, but I'd heard someone say that on the radio some years back, and thought it was perfect for our fan base, which tends to run a bit heavy on the Appalachian side. I didn't get fired over it, so it's all good.
