Who Does the Big 12 Go After

If you're the Big 12, what schools do you go after to attempt to bring your conference numbers up to at least 12 members?

Baylor
Iowa State
Kansas
Kansas State
Oklahoma
Oklahoma State
Texas Christian
Texas
Texas Tech
West Virginia

Who do you go after? If adding teams would get them to a championship game, and I'm A&M, I may be begging to be let back in.

Boise State? Cincinnati?

Why would Texas A&M, an easy top 10 team year in year out because SEC, go back to a conference where it never won anything and ate the scraps of Big Brother Texas? The way they have it now, they will be ranked in the top 15 every year, beat 1 team who also got an inflated ranking, and end the season 7-5 but ranked, whereas in the B12 they wouldn't start ranked, play zero teams that started ranked, and end the season 8-4 and not ranked?

BYU and Cinci or Houston make the most sense to me.

I've heard others mention poaching from the SEC. LSU was a team brought up.

Also SMU.

Boise and Cincy. I think especially in the short term, Cincy will help their conference. They're going to be pretty good in the next few years with Kiel at the helm.

Cincy makes perfect sense as they got shut out in the conference expansion bonanza of recent years, are a recent BCS bowl team and a perfect natural rival for West Virginia, who is kind of out on an island with a bunch of Great Plains teams.

Both Boise and BYU would be the best picks for the other slot. Depends probably on if BYU is NotreDameStubborn about maintaining indie status on if they'd work out. Shit, grab those three and maybe Houston (does good in an under-the-radar conference) to get to 14 and stay on pace with most of the major conferences, lol.

UCF and Cincy. Get the B12 brand into Florida and Ohio. Adding another Texas school doesn't do anything. Although they might just be happy to be there and let Texas/Oklahoma rake them over in the conference profit sharing. So it'll most likely be Houston or SMU haha.

Boise has horrible academics, and pretty much no TV or recruiting value.

On Saturday there was talk of Cincinnati and Memphis.

Looks like they have met with UC.

Nebraska/Osborne hated the Big 12 from day 1 when it became "whatever Texas wants"

Since they left, that's only become worse, as all of the other Big 12 North schools literally handed Texas the keys to keep a conference together after Nebraska and Mizzou left in order to avoid it collapsing and then all being forced into like CUSA

They aren't going back any time soon

Why would a B1G school move to the big 12?

The only way it would ever happen would be if they completely overhauled their bylaws, formed a network, etc. and even then they'd never get B1G Network money

But it'll never happen in a million years. To overhaul the bylaws and get a network they'd have to run off Texas. To get any decent money for a network they need Texas.
