I'd imagine it'd be a great atmosphere in Cinci anytime the visiting team brings in enough fans to provide one.

When the fair weather fans show up the atmosphere is solid.

The last time the Browns and Bengals played each other and both teams had winning records was in October of 1988. I think both teams actually winning may add a little more to the atmosphere than usual.

I have been there a number of times when there were many, many steelers fans but that has been changing since the bengals have gotten better. They just arent selling their tickets as often. Last year in Cincy on MNF against the steelers there werent nearly as many steeler fans.

It's a good atmosphere for big games. The question is, whether they consider this a "big game." It is primetime...

It took until Monday to break the 85% threshold needed to avoid a local blackout.

Not surprising....they barely sold out their PLAYOFF GAME. Hell, when the browns make the playoffs this year they will be sold out in two seconds.

I don't think anyone is disputing this stuff. Show me a Bengal fan who thinks their fans are 100% loyal and sell out every game?

Don't confuse that with fans, like myself, who are loyal and have been fans since the 80's. I rarely go to games regardless, but it's not like I'm dropping the Bengals to root for the Packers or Colts or another team whenever Cincinnati sucks.

There's a difference. Very few franchises have fans like the Browns or Maple Leafs that will to a fault, sell out every game regardless of how messed up the team is.

That's the thing, the bengals haven't been "messed up" for the last 5 years.

Is this the first time since the late 80's that these two teams have been this good going into a matchup?

@AdamSchefter: CLEV @ CINCY tonight: last time Browns and Bengals both over .500 for head-to-head matchup this late in season was Dec. 14, 1986, per Elias.

Was guessing 88 but Browns were starting to slip around that time and Bengals coming on.

For some reason I have a bad feeling about tonight. No idea what it is or why but I think the browns lose 35 14. I really hope I'm wrong.

Nice the Browns are finally winning for their loyal fans.

Bengal fans will never have the same passion (as Browns fans) as long as Mike Brown is the owner.

That's a bunch of bullshit. It's a baseball town and they will never match the Browns passion. The Mike Brown excuse is weak. He has done plenty the last 5 years to provide a consistent winning product.

I think as long as they were winning Super Bowls every year they would have extremely loyal fans. But if they won the SB in 2015 and 2016 and started off the next year 3-5 they'd move on to other things.

Yeah Bengal fans are a fucking joke. What id do for a team to have a winning record year in and year out along with making the playoffs. I could tell you that First Energy Stadium would be slammed unlike Paul Brown Stadium
