It was pretty obvious that the Cavs straight up blew dick in game 1. The reality is, we still have Lebron James and that gives me all the confidence I need for the Cavs to pull out this series. I think we win the next 4 no problem.

Perfect storm.

Chicago was red hot, Cavs were meh. I wouldn't be that worried either.

I think not having JR Smith was a bigger deal than I initially anticipated. Obviously, losing Love sucks but I think the Cavs are still strong as hell with the 3 point threat. JR really spreads the floor because he hits 3's and he has a green light to shoot it. I think the Cavs sneak away a victory in Game 2, and then JR comes back and the Cavs just win the next 3.

I'm sticking with my initial prediction of Cavs in 5.

Was it Moz who was really slow rotating on the pick and roll to cover Pau? Also, who starts in place of Miller tomorrow? Jones? Marion? Miller provided nothing and couldn't stick to Dunleavy

Miller should just be cut. He is absolutely bad. He reminds me of Eric Snow, useless and old.

People are blaming Moz, but he wasn't the only one. TT also had issues with the pick and roll. Lebron even chewed him out about it after one play. Really the only one effective on Pau was Lebron in his brief time doing it.

My suggestion is IF you're going to switch it up (Moz has owned Pau this year for the most part), put Moz on Noah, Lebron on Pau, Shump on Butler, Kyrie on Rose, whoever on Dunleavy. Doesn't make much sense to me playing your best defender on Noah, but what do I know.

I agree that he has very little in the tank. I like having him on the roster as a mentor, high IQ guy, though. Those types of players significantly improve the performance of younger players at practice by "exposing" mistakes and coaching up the young guys. Mike Miller has been a solid player in this league for many years. He's now on the back end of his career, but I by no means think he's a wasted roster spot. Haywood on the other hand...

Haywood is on the roster because his contract is highly attractive as a trade asset next season. Also, if I recall, Miller had a pretty solid season with Memphis last year. He can do better.

IMHO, if Miller is ever in the game it should only be when Noah is in the game so he can not get beat on defense.

Seems like the game plan was to give up that 18 foot jumper all night to Pau as opposed to letting him get paint touches because the Cavs had such a small lineup in game 1. That will change with Thompson starting but he has to be better on high ball screen defense, he was terrible in game 1.

If I had to bet he will be much more aggressive on them. 1) because they killed us. 2) Putting Moz on Noah allows him to stay near the rim and protect it/also allows our guys to play tighter D. Have a good feeling about tonight.

I doubt that, but he is going to need to play a hell of a lot better than Monday. Settling for shitty long range jumpers and turning the ball over 6 times is not gonna cut it.

That game reminded me of the Boston debacle along with his first finals with Miami.....very indecisive and passive. It's weird, I don't get it.

I want to see more Kyrie in the 4th. It seemed like it was all LeBron with Kyrie being nothing more than a decoy. Not saying LeBron shouldn't have the ball in his hands. I mean, he's obviously one of, if not the best player in the world, but Kyrie can get the job done as well, and he's a great closer. Not to mention, LeBron just didn't have his best stuff. I expect us to straighten a lot out tonight and come away with a victory.
