Here's more....

RT @twithersAP: ‪#‎Cavs‬ GM David Griffin says Kevin Love likely done for season, shoulder extensively damaged. RT @HowardBeck: Source: Kevin Love's labrum tore away from the bone, and will need 4-6 weeks, minimum, to heal. If it doesn't, surgery a possibility.

and that is one of the reasons why some were pretty adamant about not trading Wiggins for a guy who only is guarenteed to be around one season....that and the fact that can you imagine how good the cavs would be in thenext 5 years if they had Wiggins and he is just close to as good as what many expected?

Still can't believe you can end a player's season in the playoffs, on a title contender, and only receive a 1 game suspension for likely an irrelevant regular season game.

Way to send a message to teams that there may be a benefit to taking out a key player if the punishment is only 1 game.

He has an option to opt in or out for next year. If he opts in he'll be a FA in 2016.

I don't know the contract specifics, but what can Cleveland offer him in terms of max money? With that core, they can compete for titles for the next 4-5 years at least. He would be dumb not to resign.

No clue. However there is no team that can offer him both money(a max deal) and a chance to win titles. Not sure why you would leave. The only thing other teams can offer is a chance to be "the main guy" but we saw how well that worked in Minnesota.

Trying to find it, but can a team afford 3 max deals? James will get one, Irving will get one...enough for a 3rd?

It'll be just like the Miami model; Big 3 and bunch of veteran role players/cheap contracts.

We can go over the cap because we have Love's Bird rights.

Love is out for the remainder of the playoffs. I feel bad for that entire city, this team has no shot unless Lebron goes Game 5 vs Pistons in the entire finals

Smith's suspension was excessive. Anybody who's played competitive basketball know that that was just a reflex swing with no intent on punching anyone. Shame on the league for screwing the Cavs. Chris Fidor was going off last night on how Smith should have been banned for the rest of the playoffs. Idiot.

If it had happened before that incident......probably right.
but afterwards and, well, unfortunately they not only see it as the play that it was but also retaliatory and premeditated .

This.

It's really unbelievable.

The cavs should send a 12th man out there and have him jack jimmy butler in the face so hard that he needs facial reconstructive surgery and is done for the playoffs. That player will play the remainder of the game and then sit out the next one. No biggie.

Kendrick Perkins just read that and realized he was completely erect.

In my opinion, that's really all Kendrick is there for. He is an enforcer and a big body to throw around. His basketball skills are irrelevant.

But again, I'm not worried about the Bulls even without the diminished roster. As long as Lebon/Irving/Mozgov are healthy, there's no reason we can't take the Bulls in 6 or less. I think we also should cruise by in the East Finals, but the West/NBA Finals could be much more challenging without a full team.

Olynyk should've gotten the same suspension as J.R., but you can't change the severity of a suspension because of when the injury happened and how long the injured player missed. If a pitcher throws at a batter in baseball and ends his season, do you suspend the pitcher the whole year instead of a standard 5 games? It was a shitty play but an even shittier break for the Cavs.
