Great game thus far between kings and nuggets. I'll be watching this until it proves otherwise.

Gordon's strength was always shooting and his ability to drive the ball with authority.

He can't do either with the slew of injuries he has had. As much of a fan I am of his, CoA is right, at this point in his career, he sucks lol.

Kings might be 3-1. It's going to be a huge uphill battle to contend for a West playoff spot, but still. They look better thus far.

Big game in Portland for the Cavs tomorrow. Will be interesting to see how Lillard plays against Irving.

Just give a nightly check of the box scores and again Eric Gordon and Kemba Walker jump out with terrible shooting performances.

No idea and I know they've never been known for their great shot selection AND it's silly early, but how long before these performances take away some of their playing time?

Thunder 1-4 already. Wonder if Durant/Westbrook come back earlier than they should to try and stop the bleeding?

Watch the guy play basketball. He's a chucker. He got the trophy because the team he happened to be on had the best record record in the league that year but the reality is the team composition, mostly on the defensive end is what won them games. He reminds me a lot of the Steve Nash MVPs except at least Steve Nash will probably be a hall of famer. Rose will be out of the league in 2 years tops and never even be mentioned in the same breath as a HOF.

Last night, Kobe apparently said "fuck it" to Byron and the Lakers style of play. 39 points on 37 shots with 1 assist. This is only going to get better.

Apparently Kobe has also said 'fuck it' to winning basketball games too.

I think it only would take looking at who else is in your locker room to say "fuck it" to winning games. Carlos Boozer, Linsanity, ZombieNash on the bench all year, Bob Sacre... Might as well go to the local Y if you want "talent" at that level.

Or Kobe could ask for his contract to be cut by a third so that they could bring in someone else with talent. Kinda hard when Kobe + ZombieNash take half your salary cap.

Yeah, kind of hard for a team to be good when its top player is old, coming off severe injuries and being paid so much that three guys on the team may be hobos dressed in uniforms and told they'll get hot soup and a cot indoors if they hustle on D.

In other news, Orlando plays Philly tonight, so one of the other no-win teams will get their first. Loser and the Lakers will be the only 0-fors after tonight. Unless the Orlando-Philly game is so unbelievably bad that the arena gets sucked into a black hole in order to set the universe right and preserve life as we know it. Which is a possibility.

Philly should win that. Orlando only has 1 guy right now (though Payton looks to be a steal for them early on).
