Mr. Moneybags, you wanna throw $50 on that, that Harden won't be top 3 in MVP voting? Or you gonna go slink back into your corner before you can come out and troll again?

lhslep134;1717934 wrote:Once again if you want to keep running your mouth uttering that preposterous opinion then put your money where your mouth is. You don't like Harden? Fine. You want to use the numbers to say he shouldn't win MVP? I'll agree with you. But if you want to make a statement that is so against contemporary conventional NBA wisdom, that he's no where close to the MVP, and then delve into childish tangents trying to make your point, then either shut up or make the bet.

Otherwise stop spewing that complete BS that has no basis in reality. Harden is squarely in the MVP discussion, end of argument. If you disagree, put your where your mouth is. $50 that Harden is within 50 points of Steph Curry. If you're so concerned about finances let's do $20. If you refuse to bet, then kindly shut the f*ck up on the topic. Please and thank you.

I can't make my point any clearer than this.
lol now it's 50 pts? I said 25, you said 35, now you say 50 pts. And you're calling me a *****? Put your avatar where your mouth is. You said Curry, but it's VERY close. Either do the avatar bet or STFU on the topic. Thanks.

I am disappointed the rockets won't be 100% for the playoffs, I'd have picked them to to WCF and maybe the finals

$50? Not even worth my time. I'd almost give you $50 just to admit that Harden will never win an MVP or a championship. You know its true anyway.

But Harden, MVP candidate, is healthy. What's the problem?

same thing that happened to Durant last year, his team was not good enough. Winning MVP =/= having the best team.

$50 or $100 is not enough to interest in you in a Harden vs. LBJ MVP bet, what is? i'll bet whatever amount you want to bet on it? :)

Something tells me if Kevin Love and Irving were both out for the post season Lebron James would still find his way to the conference finals at a minimum. That's because he's actually an MVP and not an overrated chucker like Harden.

I'm not interested in your bets. The reality is the reality; Harden will not win MVP. You can name your price on that one and I accept.

I'm not making an avatar bet I already have one with ohiobucks that I need to change soon. I'll bet you $50 it's within 50 points, which is plenty close given the parameters of the voting. Put your money where your mouth is.

Look at the timestamp on the post. I edited it to 50 points awhile ago and you've made like 3 posts on the bet without going back to read it. That's not on me, that's on you. Reading comprehension is not your friend.

2009 - 2010 NBA Season: LBJ wins the MVP, loses in Eastern Conference Semi Finals. Did not have Kevin Love or Kyrie irving... Winning MVP does not always translate to team success no matter how hard you try to make it

You being too scared to throw $50, let alone $20, isn't my problem. "Put your avatar where your mouth is." LOL how old are you, 13? Don't answer, it's rhetorical. The Tina Fey picture already gave it away.

Why don't you put on your big boy pants and put your money where your mouth is? Avatar bet? Get out of here with your childish bets. The only real bets are those with cash, because men put their money where their mouth is instead of hiding behind their avatar like boys.

When you want to bet like a man, let me know. Otherwise I'm not indulging you on your juvenile bet.

I'll make friendly bets on avatars. There's nothing friendly about this conversation, it's adversarial. Put the f*ck up or shut the f*ck up and if you continue to harp on an avatar bet I'll know you can't be taken seriously.

You didn't get that from the last 10 page argument we had over him? In which only a few of us ended up being right about him becoming a superstar? (it was you and me, not sure who else)

It's not serious. The reality is James Harden is a slightly above average NBA player who will never win anything. Everything else is just noise.

So do you agree or disagree? LBJ will still make the conference finals this year without his other 2 stars. Harden has no chance, even with his best players, of ever accomplishing anything in the NBA. That is the reality.

I would not pick the cavs to make the ECF if Kyrie and Love got hurt and could not play, so no I disagree. I think the bulls would wax the cavs without Kyrie and Love. Now hopefully neither of us will ever know, because I'd much rather watch a fully healthy Cavs squad demolish the bulls.

Harden could average 5/20 on 30% shooting and the Rockets get swept and it would have zero impact on his MVP candidacy. Why you keep ignoring that fact I have no idea. As for the free throws, I explained before but you ignored it so I'll explain again below.

Which part of #1 in overall win shares and #1 in value over replacement is flawed?

I get that free throws play a big factor in win shares, but that's my entire point. Getting to the free throw line is the most valuable possession in the NBA, and Harden is the best at it, by far. Your opinion of how he gets to the free throw line (COA, S&L, Crimson, etc. I'm directing this at you) doesn't take away, AT ALL, from the value he brings by getting there.

Harden is sometimes incredibly hard to watch because of how hard he tries to draw free throws at the expense of offense flow, I'll give all of you that. But to use that as a reason to discredit overall and offensive win shares, or value over replacement, or any other subjective or objective measurements that show he is MVP-worthy is ass-backwards.

Why do you think he rates so highly in those metrics? Because they recognize how valuable getting to the free throw line is. You guys apparently do not.
I don't know why I am included in that lol all I said is I hate how he plays the game and his stupid beard. That has nothing to do with my opinion of how good he is.
