I know BSPN throws this line around, but no. Dumb line, dumb caparison. They have a coach close to pop? lolno. They have a single player close to tim duncan? lmaono. They going to win a playoff series? Probably not. TOTAL PRETENDERSrobj55;1699209 wrote:Spurs east

Watch the replays, the Kings were playing tough d on him, and trying to close out. He just got hot for an unreal quarter. He's a good player and a tremendous shooter, so not that shocking. He should def be an all star and is a better player than Harden. He's pretty much better at everything over harden. Better shooter, better defender. 2 most important things in basketball. Harden should NEVER be a starter over Thompson in the all star game.robj55;1699203 wrote:13/13 from the field and 9/9 from three in a quarter lol sorry but I would have to foul out

I could not believe the quarter he had. Ha my best game in high school was 13 points, to score 37 in a single quarter is just filthy

There's been a lot of discussion over who's going to replace Kobe as an all star starter. Imo it's not a discussion. It's klay thompson.SportsAndLady;1699223 wrote:??

I think its a valid comparison. They are winning games without any "stars" on the team. How many times has a Spurs player been to an all-star game? Hawks?Commander of Awesome;1699219 wrote:I know BSPN throws this line around, but no. Dumb line, dumb caparison. They have a coach close to pop? lolno. That highlight starting with 9:44 left in the 3rd was the best example of being in the zone that I've ever seen. Like COA commented, they were on him the last 24 points and it didn't matter. Some of those quick release 3's were insane.....and then they fouled him purposely at the end of the quarter and he still made the 30 foot 3 pointer (didn't count)

I agree with Sleeper that it's a valid comparison. Also, they do have a close coach to Pop. Budenholzer spent 17 years in San Antonio and has installed a Spursian unselfish offensive system.sleeper;1699277 wrote:I think its a valid comparison. Even if you don't agree, you can't deny the validity of the comparison.

It's definitely a discussion. Harden is an MVP candidate and Thompson's not the best guard on his team.Commander of Awesome;1699263 wrote:There's been a lot of discussion over who's going to replace Kobe as an all star starter. Imo it's not a discussion. It's klay thompson.

I disagree with Sleeper in that Duncan is a perennial AS and legit argument for greatest PF ever.
The rest of the team is more like the Raptors, though Parker is a 6x AS.

Not a discussion? Harden could be the MVP of the league lol I think he deserves it over Klay even though I like Klay a lot.

Yeah having Duncan makes things a lot easier. But it's a valid comparison, at least in terms of how the teams function (unselfishly).Laley23;1699289 wrote:I disagree with Sleeper in that Duncan is a perennial AS and legit argument for greatest PF ever.

Not this year. Harden has actually tried on defense his year. Look at the defensive ratings, they reflect that.Commander of Awesome;1699220 wrote: Better shooter, better defender.

The Hawks play nothing like the Rockets and aren't comparable at all other than shooting a lot of threes. Harden still sucks on D, he just sucks a little less than what he has in the past.

Yeah he's still lazy as hell, he gives a little more effort than what he did but marginal.lhslep134;1699313 wrote:http://espn.go.com/nba/story/_/id/12041846/the-truth-james-harden-defense

He went from pathetically awful to average. That's more than a little leap. But continue to not watch the NBA.robj55;1699314 wrote:Yeah he's still lazy as hell, he gives a little more effort than what he did but marginal.
