I just got my hunting license a couple weeks ago, haven't made it out, the land my family usually hunts on for bow season got sold and now some hippies own it and won't let anyone hunt there. My assistant coach has a bunch of property but I haven't talked to him about hunting on it yet. Right now I'm using my dad's bow to shoot since he doesn't go out anymore. My brother suggested I get the Bear Archery Encounter package, basically comes ready to go, only thing you have to do is sight it in. My brother and I do plan on going the last day of gun season, still have some family friends that give us permission for gun season.

You can come to my house, sit on my patio with a beer, hamburger, good conversation and sometime between 4-6 four deer will be within 75 feet eating the morning glories they seem to like those…

I've been to maryland a few times this year and only been out once here in PA. Missed a decent buck from 40 yards in Maryland. Probably going out today after work. The property I hunt in pa they are way more active in the evening. There are 5 of us that hunt the property and 2 people already pulled out 3 deer.

I was able to get a doe the first day of bow season. Already made a bunch of jerky and some deer summer sausage. Keep seeing a real nice 8 point that I will hopefully get before some poachers do. Only big one around me at this time. Bunch of small spikes and 4 pointers the 8 is the only one of any size. Granted he is a nice one.

Saw a huge buck when we were putting stands up out in the field heading towards our stands. We got the hell out of there quick so hopefully he will come by this evening

I do not bow hunt. Was never into it before, but its something I may do once I buy a bow for bow-fishing. My cousin got a pretty nice buck on the land we hunt about a week ago.

Most points was a 12 it had a short drop tine as well. Not very impressive as far as size. I was 14 when I shot it and back then really didnt think much about letting the little ones go so they can get bigger. If it was around today I would pass on it. I shot an eight point that went 157 3/8 he is by far my best one to date. The one I have been watching this year will probably go around 120. Biggest bodied deer was a doe that weighed 243 after field dressing. Got stopped by the game warden and he tried to tell me no way it was a doe til he checked it head. Was a pain in the ass dragging it across a plowed field she ran into uggg. I have found some deer that went 160 plus and the one that was poached on our property last year was 160+. Just wish I would have shot it instead of the guys that did.

Saw a real nice 10-12 point saturday morning. He has some real nice brow tines. If I had to guess they will go 12-14 each. First time seeing him so was real excited to get a glimpse. Hopefully him or the 8 will be mine this year. Was using a long bow and not real confident with long shots had I had my compound or crossbow he would be hanging right now. He was about 40 out and just did not feel comfortable with the bow I had. I have used it to shoot those shots practicing but cant seem to hold a good pattern.
