How is the hunting going? No good shot on any bucks but did tag another doe. I am holding out now for one of the two bucks that are running the area. Hope one of them gives me a shot. Been doing some rabbit hunting as well and decided I need to get a beagle.

I hate to hear this Enforcer. I have missed a few gun seasons but was not health related. I hope you get to feeling better.

Still hunting. Havent had much time to go the last few days. I did see both the bucks I have been waiting on about 200yds apart when I got home from work yesterday. I was pretty happy to see both made it through gun season. I am in the process now of making summer sausage and jerky out of the doe I shout a few weeks ago. Put both in the smoker this morning so around 8 tonight I should be trying some of both.

My brother lives out in the country on 5 acres just past Deleware. He's only lived there for about 6 months and last week a bullet went through their living room window and into their kitchen. They had been in the living room all day decorating their tree until about 20 minutes before this happened. His wife is freaking out because it could have hit their 7 year old or their 15 year old.

Stuff like this is usually why we're not allowed to use rifles to hunt in Ohio, land is too flat. I guess this year rifle is allowed but only with a smooth bore casing? Or something like that? Has to do with the rifling of the barrel and casing and it's not supposed to travel as far. But, glad everyone is ok, I'm sure pretty shaken up though.
