No, it was underdeveloped. There were one or two clues about "earning your keep" and paying back the medical services you received. But other than the rape and the tailor getting slapped around (which i guess we were to assume was typical), there were no real signs of maltreatment. No way. No freaking way. If they do this (which they won't), you might as well quit watching the show. Besides, I don't get the love fest for Beth. Beth sucked. Side note : Did You Know Beth (Emily Kinney) is 29 years old?! I wonder if they aren't using this to hype her being in the spin-off (no idea if she is) that occurs during the early days of the outbreak. Though not sure her character could be included without changing her backstory (since she basically hunkered down at the family farm).
And agree she sucked. Honestly, kill them all...Darryl is really the only character I like.

If everyone is already a carrier, then unless you die from being bitten why does it turn you? If the infection doesn't kill you (which I assume is what it would be), then a bite should be perfectly survivable.
