I saw this piece on Fox News last night and Megyn Kelly did a great job exposing it for what it is: simply outrageous (worth checking out her interview). The radical left in this country is soooo twisted it is beyond belief.

What good message would this guy have to deliver?

Why in the world would this college choose this guy?

Un-real.

In the article it notes this will be his third such speech including one at an Ohio college. Why the outrage now though? I do agree outrageous but why is this news now?

All you have to do is look at the spokesman for the college. Fucking idiots.

Because it's QQuaker, who never fails to be "outraged" at anything that he can tie into the left-wing.

I mean, most people, regardless of political affiliation, could find all sorts of things to be "outraged" at that are done by people whom we can tie into one side or the other. He just chooses to post every single time he finds something because of his desire to over-saturate everyone here with everything, so after a while, no one really cares because the boy cried wolf too many times.

It's all part of QQuaker's left-wing agenda to make right-wingers look like giant, whiny babies. That infidel!

Everyone is his/her own valedictorian at this college; that gives you some clues.

As for the outrage, there was previous outrage at the other 2 (radicallly liberal) schools, most of it coming from law enforcement organizations. You are only hearing about this because of Fox News, as most of the leftist news groups are happy to gloss over it, it doesn't fit their narrative when whackos get radicalized by Islam and kill Americans.

Yeah, Antioch College...any more really need to be said about him speaking there?

No wonder the school closed its doors for years.

I am no conservative by any means but this is crazy. I think the people that let this man speak think he is innocent, even though he has lost his appeals. One interesting thing is how he got off death row on some sort of technical matter. I don't know anything about this case but it smells.

This is some weird little school in Vermont - a lot like an Antioch "create your own learning" type place. Who honestly gives two rat farts who "speaks" at their graduation? Of course Quaker sees it as part of some broader "outrageous" left wing conspiracy. In fact, this is a school of a few hundred free thought artists. Who cares what they say or do. Megan Kelly or whomever can spend their time trying to get everyone stirred up about it as though it is the Barbarians at the Gate. When in reality it is the equivalent of a group of drugged out hippies in SE Ohio debating the songs of Charles Manson.

Seriously dude, your outrage is comical. And you're attempt to pin this on a whole group of people and their grand conspiracy against freedom loving patriots such as yourself is a joke. Lemming.

Not sure that being anti-murder is a left/right issue, I would think the majority of both are against it.

Not sure what this "person" brings to the table for the graduates.

Mumia Abu-Jamal to Give Commencement Speech at Goddard College
Inmate Journalist and Goddard Graduate to Address Newest Class of Radical Thinkers

Plainfield, Vt. -- Goddard College announced today that Mumia Abu-Jamal, an American prisoner, author, and journalist who received his Bachelor of Arts from Goddard in 1996, was selected by the students of the Undergraduate Program’s Fall 2014 graduating class to be their commencement speaker this Sunday, October 5.

As you can see, he is just an author and journalist who happens to be an American prisoner. Holy bat shit; let me fix it for her:

Plainfield, Vt. -- Goddard College announced today that Mumia Abu-Jamal, a convicted murderer, and more specifically a cop-killer and violent Islamic radical, with a life sentence, was selected, incredibly, by the twisted liberal students of the Undergraduate Program’s Fall 2014 graduating class to be their commencement speaker this Sunday, October 5.

Dude, look this up and see how totally insignificant it is. THere are going to be twenty people at this graduation, TWENTY. These may be a bunch of tree hugging wanna be radicals. So what. It is twenty idiots at some insignificant college in Vermont that have done this to feel different. You of course have allowed Fox to force feed you outrage at liberals in general because of this. Please say something to assure us that you aren't that blindly led.

This. I have no idea why anyone would think this justifies anything more than an eyeroll.

One of those "consider the source" things: the guy who considers himself the savior of truth, justice, liberty and apple pie...because he makes mountains out of molehills on a daily basis on a minor league message board!

But it is entertaining to watch him get shocked and appalled about the fact that there are far-left goofballs, just like there are far-right goofballs like himself. And it's free entertainment, so I'm not complaining!

And they all seem to think mixing in crap like this with real issues strengthens their positions when all it does it confirm wackadoodle status.

There is nothing "far-right" about opposition to cop-killers being granted forums of influence.

Apparently some here have become significantly desensitized, thus your tacit approval of the event.

The amount of influence granted to him by the school's action pales in comparison to that bestowed upon him by the bagger dimwits.

The mere posting of a news event with related commentary pales in comparison to the laughable outrage from a few liberals sparked on a two-bit forum.
