2nd best quote on espn gameday. Commentators talking to Tressel about Oregon fans tradition of taking a shot of tequila after a Duck touchdown. Tressel on Oregon fans during the Rose bowl "I think everyone's sober"

John Saunders asking Tressel if next years team will make it to the National Championship game?

Dumbass question of the night and there are always tons, what is Tressel gona say, "ya we'll be there and take names"?
By the way he said the Seniors and the rest of the team are enjoying this win, they are not thinking of next year tonight.

Well no shit. I do watch OSU football too lol

Anyways, Corso has picked against OSU a lot in recent years. I only went as far back as to Texas in '05 because it probably wouldn't be very relevant to back any further than that.

Oh, and he did pick UM over OSU at Ann Arbor in '05 too. So you can add that one to the list.

oh well. We won yesterday that's all that matters....

Him donning the mascot head though in an empty Rose Bowl @ 7:59 in the morning doesn't have the same effect that it normally does

He did it again in front of the OSU section 15 minutes before kick off last night.

As far as quotes, I know Corso didn't mean anything by it, but our get together caught that clip where he said something like..."keep what you're doing boy" We all looked at each other and visions of Jimmy the Greek flashed before our eyes.

Would you be kind enough to elaborate on this?

I'm not as familiar with Jimmy The Greek as I should be.

Jimmy made some comments about blacks that got him fired from CBS and Corso called Pryor a boy but I believe he truly meant nothing by it and unintentional.

http://ac360.blogs.cnn.com/2008/04/15/understanding-why-you-dont-call-a-black-man-a-boy/

One, it's the ultimate sign of disrespect, and is often more offensive than calling them the N-word. For years black men were summarily dismissed and treated with disregard. It was as if their stature was diminished when someone white called them a boy. I've heard black men describe the hurt and pain of growing up and having someone white call them a boy in front of their own child.

Again, I know some are reading this and saying, "Why can't we all just get along and forget all this race stuff?"

That would be great, but our history is truly our history, and there are things left over that when said, immediately conjure up those feelings of old.

I did know about the racial remarks Jimmy made but didn't know how it fit into with what Corso said. Thanks for explaining.

No problem.

I hope that nothing comes of it because I truly think Corso was giving a compliment.

Jimmy the Greek was describing a shifty black NFL running back when he said something to the affect, "He runs like a little monkey."
