That game was as frustrating as it gets. Such a huge advantage as they have been struggling and brought one of the worst starters in the league to the hill. Bauer loses focus for 4 hitters and it's over.

Walters has had some big knocks but he has largely been terrible. It is like he has a hole in his bat.

Gotta get the next two but boy, that one hurts.

House comes in with a 4.09 ERA but a 2.79 ERA at home. Hopefully he can continue that trend...if the weather allows. Might be looking at a doubleheader tomorrow.

Tribe's only off day the rest of the way is the 25th and the Twins play Detroit that day.

Let's do it.

Pitching matchups have been switched.

Gibson will take on Kluber in game 1 and then it will be Nolasco vs House in game 2.

Tribe rolling now. Up 7-1. Kluber looking for win 15.

Gomes has 3 more RBI. Another multi-hit game for Ramirez.

From Twitter:

Jose Ramirez's last 20 games: .325 (27-83), with multiple hits in 10 of those games (2-3 today).

Go back even further. From his 2nd call up. Dude is over .300 for the season essentially.

That is the 2nd time this year that Kluber has thrown a gem in the first game of doubleheader...saving the bullpen. Huge. Should be all hands on deck tonight if House struggles but I am hoping he keeps his recent form.

Carlos has been playing like a H of F player since his move to first base. Suffice it to say that from this day forth, he is the Tribe's regular 1Bman. Next year, Nick Swisher will be the DH(saving his knees), and spell Santana only occasionally at first.
The emergence of Jose Ramirez will allow the Indians to continue to season Francisco Lindor, or provide some serious trade bait. A bigger question will emerge at 3rd base...in terms of whether the Tribe will commit to Chiz or whether they will try to upgrade the position.

Kipnis may also be moved to the outfield. Making room for Ramirez to play second next to lindor

Gimenez playing first for the Tribe in game 2. I know he caught the first game but couldn't Gomes have DH'd and Santana played 1st again?

Gimenez/Perez in the 8/9 is worse than some 8/9's in the National League...including the pitcher.

I thought the same thing about Gomes. Oh well, Tribe sweeps. Next series is make or break.

With salary dump of Masterson and Cabrera, just wondering if Victor would consider taking his talents back to the northcoast. Maybe he took notes on the LBJ return.Might take 20 mil a year but Dolan saved that much with the salary dumps. Would be great to get rid of Swisher even though they might have to eat part of his 15 million a year.Imaging having 2 switch hitters in the middle of the lineup who will pop out 65 home runs a year. I have no problem in moving Kipnis either who has had a miserable year on both sides of the ball. Also, can we add a right handed stick somewhere? The only exclusive right handed batter is Gomes on this team (starters).Tribe needs a sweep to tie Detroit in the loss column this weekend. Payback's always a bitch.
